wow, everyone seems to be losing their mucus plug today! socalgal-great, now i have something else to worry about, broken bones if i wait too long. im also trying to take your dr's orders and walk a lot since he said it is suppose to make baby rotate into anterior. bones-sorry you had a rough day...you make it sound so fun to have 3 kids, 4 should be even more fun! it is so hot i could just cry, im eating ice right now and its sooooo good

I know what you mean mama, I am so sick of the calls and text, today I found out about being induced on Tuesday, and I purposely didn't tell anyone but immediate family and my family on this site. Everyone else can wait till she is physically here. About a week ago I was like you, dancing all around cleaning, didn't feel prego.

ill tell you one thing tho, if i get one more phone call or text message from someone asking if the baby is here yet, i might snap!!! another strange thing too is my mood now. i feel very zen like. very calm, not at all like me. i think i've taken on the mentality of she'll come when shes ready and i'm actually ok with it. i feel great to tell you the truth. very energetic, like i'm not even preggers!!

Socalgal- If he didn't know what a malta was, he was definitly not a Cubano, so you were right for outing him. On the baby, wow that's a big girl. They said my baby is about 7lbs or so. Which is pretty small for me, my daughter Selena was 9lbs. They told me if I would go to the full 40weeks, she would be 8lbs or so. Don't let them scare you girl, you will be fine. Oh, I just got my malta. Haydensmom- You may be going soon, I have been cleaning for like a week and a half now.

Sorry. I had to go to a Cuban Restaurant because Ninavedicci worked her voodoo on me. I should have went to the hole in the wall I love--El Cochinito. But I went to the new trendy place--Mojito--and it was just okay. I did get my lechon asado, rice, beans, tostones and flan, but no malta. The idiot waiter didn't even know what that was! Hello?!!! I apparently outed him as a Mexican posing as a Cuban, because a Cuban would for sure know what a malta is! Back to baby stuff, my baby measured 9.2, but doc was concerned because margin of error is +/- a pound, so she could theoretically be 10 lbs already. I resent her horror stories. I'm afraid she may have freaked my hubby out and he will not want me to wait. But my heart tells me the labor will be just fine as long as I wait and let nature take its course. I wanted a slow mellow labor and I'm getting what I asked for. Why do docs always have to rush us and pressure us? It's still 92 degrees outside. The only difference now that it is nightime is that it is humid. Yuck!

so 've heard from numerous other mothers that i'll know when the baby is coming because i'll go through my last minute nesting and go crazy cleaning EVERYTHING. I think i might be experiencing this right now. i started doing dishes and it kept going from there.. i just finished cleaning the top of my fridge and the little rubber part on the inside of the fridge doors that suctions to the fridge to keep it closed, you know? i actually cleand in all the little grooves with q tips!! i don't know if i'm just bored or what. even typing on here now my mind is racing about all the other stuff i can clean to get ready!! if what my friends say is true, then here's hoping i'm gonna have a baby VERY SOON!! LOL :)

And the reason the OB doesn't want you eating is because if you have a reaction to the anesthesia they give you, you could vomit and aspirate and then have Empenadas in your lungs...I wouldn't do it just because I hate pooping on the table!

Oh...and on the way out of the store, Lily threw such a fit that she wet her pants because I wouldn't buy her orange juice from the vending machine...which took so long I decided that I needed it...so I ended up payin $1.25 for fricken OJ...as my overstuffed cart ran right out into the parking lot and hit a car (it's ok...it belonged to the 107 yo woman's dead husband...he won't mind...I must have looked homicidal because Grandma told me it would be okay)....only to have Lily spill the fricken OJ out the window on the way home...on the other hand, it wasn't in my new car so I couldn't beat her.

I'm here--I had to bathe the beasts...So here's the new revelation I've come to about the grocery store...you know how they put all those crappy kids things all over the place, because they know your kids are gonna pester you to buy them? Well, I've decided that they are now free samples...I've had it...Every little thing that's pink or plastic or inflated or bounces, my girls have to grab...and I spent over $200 tonight...with them bouncing balls all over the place...and of course, the church right next door had just finished their AA mtg...so the AA people are all over...and the guy behind me in line told me that his kids acting like that are the reason he drinks...he got sober as soon as they moved out... yeah..thanks...big help...what's my first step then? Admit I'm powerless over 3 and 4 yr olds? SOCALGAL==I'm glad Nina's working her Voodoo on you...I just had two empenada's from the Cuban bodega...followed by Kibeh (with the raw lamb because I'm living on the edge)....

I am from South Jersey, outside of Phildelphia, little town called Blackwood. It's off of rt.42 on the way to Atlantic City. My favorite beaches are Seaside heights, Wildwood, and Point Pleasant. Even though I spent alot of summers in Ocean City as well.

my parents tell me that my collar bone was broken during my delivery. but i was a huge baby... 11 lbs. 4 oz. i've never had any problems with my collar bone. in fact, i don't even know which side was broken. i don't know if it's really as bad as it sounds. baby's bones heal very quickly.

Socagal-my midwife wants to induce me next week and i really don't want to but she is saying the baby is getting too big! I'm scared, i hope i go into labour. I have to go the hospital for an NST on Tuesday morning and the OB will give his opinion on if i should be induced next week or wait a lil longer. As much as i don't want to be induced, i also don't want to have a hard time in labour pushing out a huge ass baby. Last week i had a BPP and he was weighing 8lbs, but i think what really alarmed my midwife was that i was measuring 40.5cm last thursday and this thursday 44.5! I'm nervous! I've been having a bit more of my mucus plug come out too, and cramping and back pain this whole day. I just went pee and it kinda burned a lil...is that normal?

Pregnantagain- the doctor told me that it could slow down the medicine that starts the contraction if I have food on my stomach. My thing is if I went into labor right now, I just ate, they would still let me have the baby right? I just can't see me starving myself and bub for 8 hours, that's a long time.

ninavedicci- No, my doctor didnt say anything about not eating any hours before going in (but if I do, what would happen. . .just curious?) I cant wait to have this baby because I so need something to 'drink' its been TOO long and I'm tired of drinking the virgin drinks :o( Does anyone know how soon after you are able to drink?

So I finally know what you guys mean about the nasty mucous plug. Yesterday it was kind of cute. Today, I'm wondering how much of that stuff could fit up there?!! Nasty! I guess my walking around today is working though--more cramping and nasty plug coming out. I really don't want to be induced. But my doc started telling us how huge our baby is and how she's had to break arms and clavicles of babies who got stuck at the shoulders because they were too big. And she also said my baby's tummy is 'off the charts.'. Doh!

For those of us that have inductions coming up Monday and Tuesday, did your doctor tell you not to eat anything for 8 hours before your appointment? My doctor did, and I am not feeling that!

christinalashelle- We are in the same boat. That's exactly what my doctor told me, execpt I'll have to go in at 5 am if nothing happens over the weekend. He's hoping that I dilate at least .5cm more but I want to go ahead and be induced, IM SO TIRED!

no, oddly i've been having very very little discharge of any kind today. twice i had very little mucousy but it was very little. this is all so confusing. I just don't want my water to have broken withought me knowing it then have my baby at risk for infection, you know?

ok, so any advice ladies? Heres the story... Last night around midnight finished having sex than immediatly went into the shower. While i was in there it kept feeling like a little extra was coming out (not the usual after sex stuff if you know what i mean) it was very watery. I thought at first that it was just water from the shower head and i was being paranoid but than i moved the shower head away and again felt the mini flow of liquid. So i got out, put a pad on and went to lie down. Once after i was lying down felt a little more but than that was it. Now, no cramping started but i was having alot of pressure and sharp pains down the middle of my legs. Woke up this morning and had cramping on and off all day but noticed that my little girl wasn't moving nearly as much as normal... still moving tho so i didn't freak out. Any thoughts?

Socalgal- I just had a feast on wood fire grilled chicken, white rice and beans with the juice all over my rice, and platanos maduros. It was so good. oh yeah, let me not leave out the avacado slices for my rice and beans, now all I need is some flan. :-)

Went to the doctor Thursday and I am 2cm and 50% thinned out! The doctor is going to induce me on Monday night if I haven't had him yet! I am so excited.
