Dates and numbers:
There are 69 days until your due date on July 26, 2008.
You are 211 days pregnant.
You are 6.9 months pregnant.
You are in your 7th month of pregnancy.
Your 1st trimester: October 20, 2007 to January 18, 2008. (0 - 12 weeks)
Your 2nd trimester: January 19, 2008 to May 02, 2008. (13 - 27 weeks)
Your 3rd trimester: May 03, 2008 to July 26, 2008. (28 - 40 weeks)
You may feel as if you have been pregnant forever at this point. It might be hard to imagine being pregnant for another ten weeks, but your baby still has a lot of growing and developing to do! By this time, your baby's crown-to-rump length is a little over 10.8 inches and the total length of your baby is about 17 inches! Your baby weighs about 3 pounds now. Your uterus can be felt about 4 inches above your bellybutton. Your uterus, baby, placenta and the amount of fluid will get larger over the next ten weeks. You should be gaining about a pound a week at this time.
Because you are getting larger, you are probably becoming slower and clumsier. You should try to be careful to avoid dangerous falls. Good posture when sitting and standing can help you feel better during your pregnancy. You also should be rolling over on your side to get up after lying down because your muscles have stretched to accommodate your growing uterus.
Even though your baby is cushioned by the amniotic fluid, she can feel and respond to pain. Your baby now does `practice breathing` to get ready for life outside of your womb. If you have an ultrasound at this time, you will be able to see this. If your baby swallows amniotic fluid down the wrong passage, she will still get hiccups that are noticeable by you. If your baby were born at this time, she would be able to keep herself warm.
The skin begins to smoothen as fat deposits accumulate underneath. The fat insulates and is an energy source.

Hello ladies visiting from week 19. I hope everyone is doing well. I was just wondering when were you all first able to feel your babies kicks from the outside? Can any of you actually see the baby moving if you look at your bellys yet? Im very excited for my husband to feel his little girl. lachance19 -

Blessedmom - You could always explain the situation to your aunt and have her give you the gift privately. Not everyone has to see the gift... Just a thought! :-) blessedmom2b -

So I just thought I'd throw this out there. We are keeping the name a secret from my family...but my aunt who is coming to the other shower planned emailed me and wanted the name or initials to embroider something on a gift. My mom will be there when we open it so I'm not sure I should tell my aunt yet. My mom knows the names we were considering so she would know immediately after seeing the initials...so what should I do? Go ahead and give my aunt the initials and have my mom close her eyes when I open that gift? I don't know what to do and it would be nice to have something personalized like that for a gift. She lives 5 hours away so it might be too much of a pain to tell her to embroider it later. I can always say I'm not sure of the name yet. Heck, we might change our mind when we meet our little boy! What would you do?mommy-of-3 -

Just spilling my words.. because I feel better now..
Well I had my doctors apt and I feel alittle better! or I should say alot. I seen the midwife, who know more than the doctor. she said in 26 years of practicing she has only seen Placenta accertta once. Right now my ultrasounds are showing no attachment and she believes it may just be alittle fluid behind the placenta. Also the chances of mine being the accertta are so low, considering the cases that do get it are woman over 35 (i am 28), woman with alot or mischarges,or abortions, and or csections (neither of these). Therefore the odds are on my side, also Like i said the ultrasounds are showing no evdience. BUT you really know nothing until you go into labor. So I have a peace of mind now and feel better about the labor. I have made up my mind after speaking to her and she said a vaginal birth would be better. The csection I was going to ask for may cause more bleeding if this happened to turn into the accertta. ( Which I am 100% sure it will not). so that is about all I fanilly got a peace of mind! :)
Sorry this is so long... :)LMAMAOF4 -

Just when I thought I couldn't get any bigger this page tells me that we will still be growing. Is there anyone else whose belly has dropped. I know mine is lower now because the shirts I have been wearing seem shorter and I have to pull some down to cover my belly. One more week down. 10 more to go.katcoat -

I think 30-40 movements an hour is a little much. I have beeen told 10 movements an hour and some hours he is sleeping, so I feel nothing. As long as you feel him a bunch of times throughout the day, he should be fine! If your nervous about it, then you should see your doctor...better safe then sorry!ragskusa24 -

1sttimemommy....I have the same exact pain under my breast. I keep reading different theories on it though. My doctor says its just gas because he is pushing everything up...but when I researched it online, they say its your nerve endings. All I know is that it is common and there is pretty much nothing you can do about it except take a tylenol and put a cold compress on it. But I understand what your going through. I think when the baby drops, the pain will go away HOPEFULLY!galeas -

Yeah I don't know about the 30-40 in an hour that I can recognize. My baby has his days where he will move ALL day then some days where he just relaxes and moves ever so often. My doctor told me that if you are worried about movement to drink a little bit of a coke or sprite and then lay on your left side and you should feel movement. My baby shower is next weekend and I can't wait!! I will be 8 months and only have 4 weeks of work left!! Wow time is going by so fast but I am getting so tierd now. I cant go to the gym any more because I get the sweats where I want to pass out and I can only walk so far before my stomach gets so tight. I do what I can though. Hope everyone has a great weekend and see you in week 31!!kofiwan -

Ick about the discharge thing I'm also having it. I actually have a kinda gross story. After the shower, I usually sit in my towel on a little velvet stool in the bathroom to dry my hair. Well, I guess the towel wasn't totally under my area and when I got up, there was a discharge spot. Now, I can't get the white spot off the fabric! I'm too embarassed to ask anyone (like the dry cleaners) how to get it out. Any ideas?ShannonBeth -

In regards to the discharge, I have the same issue! I think some days it's worse then others but I've asked my doctor and she says it's totally normal! (*sigh of relief*) And I feel him move like crazy most days and then he'll have a lazy one so I think it's just their personality coming through and it's amazing! :-) 1sttimemommysumerlea -

Im not having pain around my bellybutton but I am having soo much pain around the top of my stomach..around my ribs where my tummy ends and boobs start...my skin is so sensitive and sore there...I have no clue why..maybe just from being pulled and stretched to its limit but its so tender I cant even lay down comfortably.teganbush -

Hello everyone, just had a question. Is anyone else having a lot discharge at times? I seem to been having quite a bit the past few days but it seems only when I wipe(sorry if TMI). Also inquiring if anyone is having pain around their belly button, my seems to hurt most to the left side.cdoyle23 -

I don't feel that many movements either. My doctor told me as long as she's moving, I'm fine. But not to worry unless she goes more than 24 hrs without any movement at all. Like a normal person, she'll have lazy days too! :)babylove723 -

Weel, just to finish the story. Hubby received me with flowes and chocolates yesteday after work, he realized how selfish he was and told me how much he loves me. All is back to normal now, even beter. I guess we just have to let them know exactly how we feel and only then they undertand they act wrong. I am back in my room with my dear husband , because something that I do appreciate it a lot is one somebody recognizes what is dong wrong. I am havng a wonderful day today. Baby is moving like crazy this morning!!!! For all of you that had the same problem with their husbands, I strongly recomend you to talk to them, otherwise they don't get why you are sooooo upset. It worked for me! Kisses!!!!!oma -

Shortilee: my 'What to Expect' says that at 30 weeks you should be feeling 25-40 movements an hour on average. By 36 weeks, the frequency and intensity of movement slows down to about 20-30 movements. That having been said, you may not notice movements when you are busy. My baby has quiet times (don't think he/she is a morning person) and times when I feel tons of movement - like 40 in ten minutes. noodle -

Ladies your breasts dont have to leak while you're preggo to know you will be able to have enough milk to feed your baby. My breasts didnt leak before I had my first two babies and I had no problems having enough milk to feed each of them for well over a year. I also dont have any leaks, however when my 2 year old cried the other day it felt like I got a let down of milk in response but no leaks. I squeezed as if manually expressing, and got the tiniest bit of colostrum (not even a drop at most). Try this and see if you can get a result! As for braxton hicks contractions, some of you may only get mild ones and be abit oblivious to them - dont worry, we're all different!Mum2-3 -

Allyson, I noticed you said you had heartburn, I also get lots of heartburn during my pregnancies. However I went to my chiropractor the other day and mentioned my heartburn. She aligned me as usual and just about completely cured my heartburn. I had been having severe heartburn all the time for a few weeks and was taking antacids all the time (which I dont like doing). Then all of a sudden I noticed it had disappeared, and I thought about when it had disappeared - it had been after my chiro appt'mt! I could hardly believe it. So there you go ladies, if you have heartburn think about seeing your chiropractor!MELINDA73072 -

Hello ladies. Im from wk 26 & have a question...1st off, I'm so stressed right now. I live in Florida, & my brother is getting married in NY 9 days before my due date.By car it's 22 hrs. 2 1/2 by plane, & 28 by train. Seems the quickest way is by plane, but I'm terrified of them & scared of heights. Dr. said its ok 2 fly, but I'm not so sure. If I cant go, my mother & brother want me 2 at least send my 13 & 14 year old by themself. Everyones giving me a hard time about it, but I'm just so scared 2 send them so far away & I'm scared something may go wrong on the plane that I would lose my only 'real family' I have, which are my kids. I'm not all that close 2 my mom.Matter of fact, she just found out last week that I'm pregnant. I was scared 2 tell her cause i knew she would down me 4 being a single parent. But I feel that I've done a better job than her & I'm not a golddigger or depend on men to take care of me. My question is should i not even attempt 2 go?Should i send my kids even though it terrifies me? Am i wrong for feeling the way i do? I feel like i'm going 2 be miserable just 2 make everyone happy. I appreciate any advice you ladies can give me & allowing me 2 vent a little.allyson -

Oh, and not being able to sleep at all, but, guess I better get used to it, soon there will be two babies to take care of.....yikes! Best wishes to you all. megcblu -

I am so sorry to hear some of your hubbys acting like they are children. My husband has been sleeping on the couch for at least a month, even though we have a cal king bed, he wants me to be comfortable and get as much rest as possible. He is such a dear! Plus he snores like a freight train, so that makes sleeping with him much harder. So until I have the baby, he sleeps on the couch, and I get the big bed and tv. I am sorry some of your husbands are asses! As far as fetal movement, some days movement is crazy for days at at time, then out of no where he will have a quiet day. I asked my dr yesterday about it, and he said that it is normal for them to have a quiet day, as long as you still feel them twice that day. I am seeing my dr every two wks now because I have gd, high bp, and was took off work due to preterm labor and take meds every 4 hrs for it.shortiiee -
