Dates and numbers:
There are 33 days until your due date on August 12, 2008.
You are 247 days pregnant.
You are 8.1 months pregnant.
You are in your 9th month of pregnancy.
Your 1st trimester: November 06, 2007 to February 04, 2008. (0 - 12 weeks)
Your 2nd trimester: February 05, 2008 to May 19, 2008. (13 - 27 weeks)
Your 3rd trimester: May 20, 2008 to August 12, 2008. (28 - 40 weeks)
Your baby now weighs over 5.5 pounds and its crown-to-rump length is approximately 13.2 inches. Your baby's total length is around 20.25 inches at this point. Your uterus is now 6 inches from the bellybutton and the average weight gain is approximately 24 to 29 pounds.

Most pregnant women begin to feel cramped and heavy around this time and often become tired of being pregnant. Some women feel like they do not have to room to breathe or eat. You should eat small, but frequent, meals and rest as often as you can throughout the day. Your cervix will begin to dilate and efface within the next few weeks to make room for your baby's head to emerge from the birth canal. Your cervix needs to be 10 cm dilated in order to deliver your baby.
This week of your pregnancy your baby's fingernails will have definitely reached the tips of his fingers. When your baby is born, his nails may look long and pointy. Your baby is less likely to scratch himself at this point because of the lack of room in the uterus. Fat deposition will still continue and your baby is getting chubbier and rounder. Your baby's shoulders are plump at this point.
The baby begins to develop its own immune system.

Mommy03, whatever I can do to help...haha. I've always been a big ol' night owl, and an easy napper, too. My husband can't nap to save his life. I am wondering if being a night owl will make it easier for me to get through the months in which he doesn't sleep through the night. That's good that you plan to go for walks. That's such good exercise. I have been tiring so easily the last few days. I have a Mama Yoga DVD that I do sometimes--it feels so nice to get those stretches in!pageantmommie -

mellowyellow, you said it. Boy bits look like chicken giblets, HAHAAAA! Flavor that Thanksgivin' GRAVY! I was going to rag on the appearance and smell of balls, earlier, but I had just made a gay comment to try and cheer up Snuggles and figured that I should wait a little while, haha. BALLS--who thinks they're pretty? Who does Mister Snuggles think he is, comparing anything to 'something on his balls'? Balls don't need anything on them. Balls, in and of themselves, are gross, and men should feel so lucky that we will excuse the appearance and smell of their sweaty, vinegary balls in order to accept the men they're attached to and because they DO serve a purpose. WE have Blue Twinkies--what do they have? Salty vinegar balls, and not in a nice way, like where you'd want to flavor your potato chips with them.pageantmommie -

Not a peep out of our Snuggles in a while. I hope that means that Mister had an epiphany and realized he was being a colossal WEENIE and is now prostrate at her feet, swearing that his balls are not fit to receive the steel toes of her boots, or out proselytizing a new religion in which she is the GODDESS at the center of the Universe! Wow, I sure have missed alot! Wow, SNUGGLES, I'm sorry. I know that has to hurt. You need love and affection more than anything right now, not to be told how 'gross' he thinks it is to be intimate with you! How did that even come up anyway? I've been worried that my man thinks I'm gross too because he hasn't been intimate or made love to me in like TWO WEEKS! (that's a looong time for us) and I feel totally neglected and sad about it. When I was reading all the latest comments, I started to wonder maybe your husband is jealous of your ability to create something so miraculous and beautiful and wanted and that's maybe why he's trying to downplay it by saying he's grossed out by ya? Men.... we'll never understand them. Keep your spirits up, we are all on your side! jeccyka -

I know I have read before some ladies posting comments and concerns on here about period like cramps, but I don't remember what was said. I have had them for about 2 days now, with horrible back pain. I had lots of UTI's and even a kidney infection with my first that even landed me in the hospital. But not even a trace of one with this baby. But I don't know what these cramps are about. I can't sleep or even sit, I am so uncomfortable. Baby dropped on Sunday and I felt great all day, but then this on Monday afternoon. Any feedback, please?

OmgOSh snuggles... what a jerk!!!! Trust me honey he is going to want it again and you just put his ASS on N.C. status (nothing comming)! Just tell him that Miss Soap and him are going to be having a long term affair! You are way more of a woman than I have been when it comes to having sex through this whole pregnancy! I just hate it and have since the end of 2nd trimester! So most guys would die to have been in his shoes not being told NO! My hubby says he is a very stupid man LOL! GRRRRR I am sooooo sorry that he said that to you! You are beautiful and carrying his child... I am sure he will regret that comment for the rest of his life after he stops acting like a jerk and he realizes he screwed up! HUGGGSSSS SNUGGLESSSSS! MUAHHHHHHHHH!mellowyellow -

COULD THINGS GET ANY WORSE? i had to go back to the doctor today because i thought i lost a little of my mucus plug and low and behold i was right. apparently i've effaced more, he didn't say how much. And he was like 'i think you'll go into labor in the next 24-48 hours' ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME! i have a visitation to go to Thursday night, a funeral Friday morning, and a baby shower Friday night...and here he is trying to tell me i'll probably go into labor in one or two days. FIRST, you CANNOT predict when i'll go into labor so WHY EVEN TELL ME! So, now i'm sitting here wondering if I will along with worrying about the step-dad's funeral arrangements and the baby shower brad's family is having. I DO NOT have the brain capacity to deal with all this shit. He should have just left me guessing... a small upside to all the craziness is the possibility of meeting my son and the chicco carseat his mom is going to go buy for ayden tomorrowbrowniety -

Most pregnant women (if they're with their significant other) are getting back and foot rubs, late night ice cream runs, etc. The only thing he has done for me is that I actually got him to help me trim my toenails the other day, he wasn't real happy about that, needless to say.browniety -

Tell me about it. He used to be MUCH more loving and comforting. Just one example, he used to rub my head when I had a migraine (I sometimes get them to the point that I'm basically in a vegetative state, drooling on myself). Guess how many times he has done that since we got married... You guessed it, A BIG FAT BAGEL! He says it doesn't get rid of it anyway, so why waste his time? BECAUSE IT DOES HELP RELAX ME ENOUGH TO BARE IT, OR POSSIBLY GO TO SLEEP, THAT'S WHY!SarahTook4YearsFord -

Donnamarie, oh man, if any dude ever said that to me, it would be the last thing he would ever say to me. I'd VAPORIZE. Snuggles, I'll hold him down while you kick him in the salt and vinegar balls. HUSBANDS are supposed to be the one person that makes it all okay when life is cruel. They're supposed to be home. They're supposed to be 'blankey'. It's not right for you to have to turn outward for comfort and consolation because of your husband. Snugglebug -

Yeah, he'd probably get into the SCA shit, too. To top it all off, I've now got a migraine coming on. I really just want to go kick him in his DISGUSTING balls.donnamarie -

the whole thing with men not wanting to have sex cuz they think its gross (sorry if im behind, was having dinner with the bf) anyways my bf doesnt wanna have sex, but he told me its because he feels odd with the baby down there, and is afraid of either hurting our baby or making me go into preterm labor. But for someone to say its GROSS? thats just rude. i mean we as women...heck as humans... want to know our spouse will be with us, support us through the thin and the thick, your hubby shouldnt have said that, and needs to realize how much he has hurt you by doing so. some guys just DONT GET IT, and that sucks. I had one guy in my past tell me he liked some other girls ass and that i needed to be like her! I was like...what ever... this is MY body and if you dont like it, then you DONT Need to see it! ah anyways im gonna go lay down again, i was just up to eat. i hope everyones night is going well. oh and about watching tv on bed rest and such (i dont have cable...never really liked it) but i do watch shows on the internet, like on discovery channel and such. or cbs.com :) SarahTook4YearsFord -

I used to take crap from people, but the older I've gotten, the more I've lost my patience with it and will address it on the spot. That's because I've had too many times in which I've not done so and then couldn't shake my irritation about it. So what now, is he going to spring on you that he wants to go to Pennsic this year?Snugglebug -

I agree, Sarah. I'm one of those women that people probably think is constantly suffering from raging hormones. It's not because I'm a bitch, it's just that I'm not one to just 'take it on the chin'. However, I don't just blurt out the first rude thing that comes to mind, not when it comes to those I love, especially.SarahTook4YearsFord -

Oh see, when someone blames my anger on PMS or now, pregnancy, I want to go postal. We have a right to be offended when someone behaves rudely, any time it happens. Here's what I think: many women are too afraid of being confrontational most of the time, and PMS and pregnancy are the few times where our sense of being affronted overrides our fear of rocking the boat. Men who make fun of women for getting offended during PMS or pregnancy REALLY think that women should just shut up and take it all on the chin. That's BULLSHIT.

I wish I knew what the hell his problem is lately. When we were at the doctor yesterday, he informed me that he wasn't sure if he could be in the delivery room. WHAT?! Just being nervous and worried about Gavin's heart rate being high and not knowing why, had him too messed up with his blood pressure and anxiety. Nice, real nice.
