Dates and numbers:
There are 96 days until your due date on August 18, 2008.
You are 184 days pregnant.
You are 6 months pregnant.
You are in your 7th month of pregnancy.
Your 1st trimester: November 11, 2007 to February 09, 2008. (0 - 12 weeks)
Your 2nd trimester: February 10, 2008 to May 25, 2008. (13 - 27 weeks)
Your 3rd trimester: May 26, 2008 to August 18, 2008. (28 - 40 weeks)
By this week, your baby`s crown-to-rump length is approximately 9.2 inches. Remember, that is only from the top of his head to his bottom and does not include his leg measurements! Your baby weighs almost 2 pounds and is beginning to put on weight. Your uterus is about 2.5 inches above your bellybutton and you will continue to grow approximately 1 cm each week. If you have been eating a well-balanced diet, you probably have gained about 16-22 pounds so far. Because your baby has moved further up, you may get occasional pain underneath your ribs.
After a month of having his eyelids sealed shut, your baby begins to open his eyes again this week. Your baby`s eyes are almost completely developed. Your baby`s eyes are blue in the womb and may change colors later in life. This is true for all races because the iris doesn`t have its final color until a few months after birth. However, some babies are born with darker or lighter shades of blue. Your growing baby will continue to put on layers of fat until he is born. He is still lean at this point of the pregnancy though. By the time your baby is born, he will assume the typical newborn`s plumpness. Your baby`s skin will still be wrinkled and red, but the fat continues to fill the skin out.
Finger and toe nails continue to grow.
Blood vessels start to develop in the lungs to prepare the baby for life outside the uterus.
Your baby`s blood circulation is completely functional. The umbilical cord system continues to grow and thicken as blood travels with considerable force through the body to nurture the baby. The placenta is now almost equal in size to the baby.
Even though it is still way too soon for your baby to be born yet, the chance of survival without severe abnormalities is now 70% provided it is born in a hospital.

Apparently stretching your arms above your head is supposed to help too as it lengthens the distance where the acid builds up - whether thats true or not but its worth a try! mommy31 -

Not only that. Our vitamins constipate us. There's alot of Iron in them. If you don't at leaste have 1 or more bowel movements a day, That could be it too. All that build-up is very painful. Also, if your stools are not soft it can be very hard on you. As far as Hemorrohoids go... So, if you aren't making 'normal' bowel movements, keep trck and let your O.B. know. They will give you a prescription to help you along with something safe for you and baby.

I've been having cramping too. My Doctor said if I had more than 5 in one hour to go to labor and delivery. I did so I went and they did some tests and hooked me up to the monitors and everything showed that I wasn't in labor. They said it could be from dehydration but I drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.mommy31 -

Billbo, They did say our ligaments at this time in our pregnancy are stretching at the bottom. It can be very painful. I'm not a Doctor or anything, I just think that's what it may be. Just always remember NONE of us on here are medical doctors or Midwives. Therefore you ever feel anythings not right or normal always get ahold of them. Don't hold yourself back on 'what we say'.Dani1979 -

Wow---I am 26 weeks I was gone and visiting my sister for her college graduation which was in SC. She won the Presidential Leadership Award for her class and we were all so proud and excited aside from all of her other accomplishments...I was traveling on mother's day so I didn't have anything special going on, my husband had to work and by the time he got home he was exhausted so I let him sleep...he did buy me roses and a teddy bear along with two really touching mother's day cards....so I hope everyone else had a great mother's day. You wonderful and beautiful mothers!!!christina1984 -

I totally understand the peeing thing. I have to go about every 20 minutes, and exercising (or even just moving) seems to make it worse. I'm really worried that it's going to interfere with my job. I am a charter pilot and I'm worried about what I'll do if there's a flight that lasts longer than an hour (no bathroom on board)!mommy31 -

Oh, as far as the eating goes, I do my best to snack on things like raisons and fruit. I swear I am constantly eating, but it is only very small amounts. So far I have gained a total of 3 lbs, but lost 10 in the beginning. I think I am losing weight still. My bbs have gotten smaller and my double chin is getting smaller. My belly seems to stay the same size though.yeknom -

my baby has been sitting on my bladder the entire time, so I feel your frustration. I hate the fact that I have to pee really bad and then when I go it is like only a few drips. I'm glad my baby is active, but he like to punch my bladder. I really hope the rest of the time goes by quick. The constant movement gets irritating sometimes. I'm glad I'm not a thin person or else I would have been feeling it much sooner.KMF -

im having the opposite eating problem. im not hungry anymore and im eating like once a day. i think its because when i eat and feel full its like my stomach is going to pop, i get horrible stomach aches and feel so tired. other then that i cant see why im not hungry. and now i dont even have cravings, its like anything in the house to eat i just say no to. i dont seem to want anything other then stuff we dont have. i wanted clams the one day but of course we dont have that so my hubby went out and got some as a surprise. i still havent eaten 2day but there is just nothing i wantaugustbump -

Tropical, I'm with you also. I eat a ton...feel stuffed and then 15 minutes after feel like I havn't had a meal in hours. I don't eat alot of tuna since we arn't supposed to have too much...so finally last night I figured I deserved a tuna melt....I had 1 and 1/2 open faced tuna melts, gave the rest to my husband because I was STUFFED...and proceeded to make my way to the fridge 15 minutes later because i was STARVING again!!! WEIRD...but I have to say it beats that full feeling after 2 bites that I had earlier on in the pregnancy...which sucks cause I know that it will come back lol.mommy31 -

marcy12206> I have been going through the same exact thing. I did have a UTI a few weeks ago but this has been happening very often even before the UTI the Doc keeps telling me it's normal it's just the baby putting pressure on the bladder, but hey you are not alone I know exactly what you mean I absolutley hate it at night time because I'll wake up every 1/2 to 1 hour and OMG I get no sleep AT ALL and it happens even If I haven't drank alot of water I keep saying the same thing it's not like it's a little bit it's like If I've drank lots and lots of water or something LOL !!! marcy12206 -

Okay I have to vent and have a question: I HATE PEEING 10 MILLION TIMES A DAY. I thought once every 1 1/2 - 2hours was pain but now I have to go every 15-20 mins. and its not like a drop here or there. Anyone else peeing like CRAZY! The people I work with are looking at me like I have 10 heads. All night long I would just fall asleep and have to get up to pee, then it would repeat over and over and over. (no UTI had that checked and it really just started yesterday)bellsipoo -

Does anyone else still have that doubt in their mind that even though they are pregnant now, something bad will happen and you won't actually end up with a baby? I have had this feeling from the beginning and thought it would go away as my pregnancy progressed, but it hasn't.christina1984 -

newmom2b- i have that too and it does get painful for me and i was told its still bh.
as for the Dugger Family, i could never handle that many kids i would lose track of them lol. they say they love it and want more. i just dont know how they keep those kids so obedient. i saw them on tv and they all dress the same and act so well. its almost as if they are running a cult. more power to them if they can handle that and afford it, at least their kids will always have someone there for them later in life. couldnt imagine being pregnant that many times im suffering right now on #2 lolbo -

Top ten things no one told me about pregnancy:
1. Morning sickness lasts all day and all night.
2. You will stare at her ultrasound pictures for hours, trying to recognize anything familiar. You will compare them to ultrasound pictures of other babies and secretly think 'Mine is cuter'.
3. All the down syndrome testing is a stressful pain in the ass that confuses you even further.
4. You never forget her first kick and you never get tired of them.
5. You will freak out at least once when she is not moving, you bumped into something or had an especially good sex (if you know what I mean).
6. Your husband sleeps even more peaceful while you get up to pee for 28236th time.
8. Putting your shoes on and shaving your legs will become a hadworking task.
8. Your butt will always look small next to your stomach.
9. The first time you hear her hickup, it will bring tears of amazement to your face.
10. You will fall in love with your husband all over again while he is reading children's book to your tummy.bellsipoo -

You have to get this book - it's called Babywise - I just started reading it. The book explains the nautral sleep patterns of babies and what you need to do to ensure your baby gets healthy uninterrupted sleep AND how to get them to sleep through out the entire night by 9 weeks - it has been so eye opening - so many people do it all wrong!mommyforlife -

hey everyone!! I have a question/comment... last night I was woken up to the worst pain I probably have ever experienced in my stomach area. I just figured it was BH contractions but the more I read about them it says they are painless. Well this was not painless at all! My stomach would get really hard and tight for about 30 seconds then return to normal, then about 5 minutes later it would come again, does this sound normal?? bellsipoo -

How exactly do you know what the Duggar's situation is? I don't want to contradict you, but I also don't think it's fair to make disparaging remarks about people when you're just guessing about their (not there) situation. One reason I like this website so much is because everyone tends to keep the vibe positive. Let's keep that up. We've got a good thing going!momof2oneonway! -

as far as I am concerned I think that Dugger family is messed up! I think they live off the state.. If you think about it who can afford to feed 17 kids plus two adults? if you ever watched there shows (which I am sure they are making money off of) there pantry is packed full (thanks to FOOD STAMPS) (I am not downing anyone that needs help, but in their case it is not help it seems like selfiness). Someone from the state needs to step in and make that woman get tubes tied and the man vicestomy! This is just rediculious with them. There is NO way her husband who works ONE job affords all this, WELFARE!!! (as far as I am concened) is paying for their bills, food, health insurance, ect..
but yet honest people who have only a few children can't get NOTHING!. AHHHHHHH.. this annoys me ..CaseyColeman1 -

I am 28 weeks today. I know this might sound like a weird question but has anyone had any changes down around their vaginal area? Like mine feels all puffy and is really red and can get itchy and irritated sometimes. Also I can feel little lumps on the indide part of the lip but I don't see anything there it's just all red. I got a pap test done already and checked for stds so I know it's not that I was just wondering if this is common amd if anyone else has experienced any of this either.
