You can hear your baby's heartbeat with both a Doppler and a stethoscope at this time, and your partner may even be able to hear the heartbeat unaided if he puts his ear in the right position. Sex differentiation is being completed now. If you are expecting a baby boy, the testes start to descend into the scrotum. In baby girls, the vagina is hollowing out. Your baby is able to do more with their fingers now and can move his fingers to make a complete fist. As your baby becomes more dexterous, he will be able to touch and hold his feet. Babies also begin to prefer their left hand or right hand at this time. Because babies settle into routines of sleep and activity, you might begin to notice these patterns as well. Some women experience the most fetal movements while they are trying to rest.

Ok so I have a question! wondering if anyone has felt it? or is it hiccups? I'm clueless! so I was laying down and I start feeling like a heartbeat or a tick...its continuous beats but not fast enough for a heart beat and not strong enough for kicking! it was like a constant beat for at least 5 min! what could it be? :/elibabi -

hey! well I'm back too! I had another attack last night. It started at 11pm and I kept waking my hubby up to prepare him because I knew it was coming. Finally at 1am we called my dad to come babysit, then we called 911, then cancelled, then he called again, but my dad arrived at the same time so we just took the car there where I spent 24 hours by myself :-( I sent Maurice back in the middle of the night and then he took the day off to stay with her so I ended up being all alone there. We did another U/S to make sure the gall stones are still there and not blocked and then he went down to see the baby and I asked about the sex and he couldnt tell me cause thats not his speciality. He said he thought he saw something in between the legs but couldnt confirm it was a penis LOL! Anyways, I finally came home after all the tests, took a shower and conked out for 3 hours. Now I'm wide awake and hubby is dead tired. They said theres nothing to do for now until after the baby is born and just continue to watch what I eat. Funny thing is we were just talking about how I've been eating crap lately and yesterday I had a falafel sandwhich for lunch (deep fried), a hot dog for dinner and an ice cream andwhich for desert before bed. I think it was the ice cream sandwhich that sent my body over the edge because I knew that I was getting an attack. At least now that Ive gone throug it twice, I know what to expect and what the symptoms are so thats good in case it happens again, I know what to do!cjmc2577 -

i was pretty sure i needed antibiotics for my absessed tooth.its just awsome timing too cause its the long weekend here and all the dentists just couldnt wait for tomorrow and took off today! lmao....so i spent three hours in emergency this morning waiting to be seen,and i could CLEARLY see they were letting woman in that were not as sick as i was....so what did i do? i went to the main desk and said im 'feeling lightheaded' ....well they saw me right away after that! nobody wants a prenant woman fainting on their watch! haha.....serves them right!!! got my meds and went home!FirstTimePreggersNJ -

heti- yeah well my doctor said this is the worst case she's ever seen...she had it too with one of her 3. lucky me. I was so pissed when I got pregnant...they told me it could be the same and I would get it around 6 months or that I would have an easier pregnancy... NEVER did they give me the option that it might be worse! This time the SPD started at 6 weeks! I too am supposed to wear a support belt, but it didn't help. nothing really helps. sometimes a epson salt bath, but not a lot. we just got a wheelchair on loan so hubby can push me around for summer festivals etc.FirstTimePreggersNJ -

ann I had spd with Xander...not this time though...but there is a big age gap...5 years...also had major back problems with Xander...total stomach muscle separation led to his entire weight being supported by my back...no tummy muscle at all...wore a huge support for the duration of the pregnancy...I was in agony between my back and my front fanny....none of these probs so far with this one...so there is hope for you...FirstTimePreggersNJ -

Elli- I have SPD...which means my pelvic cartilage stretched early and a lot...so my pelvic bones can't support me and my legs kinda do their own thing. Makes walking nearly impossible and hurts like hell.
