hi all.woohoo my partner felt baby move last night yay....baby has been none stop kicking today.i feel so big like im ready to burst and only half way.. people have started to say how big i am and there not wrong..still feeling so tired like i could sleep all day and night.got my scan in 6 days i cant wait..

Itskristen...Just last week someone asked me if i was 6-7 months pregnant. I honestly didn't think I looked quite that big...even though I am sporting quite the belly these days! It's bound to happen though...I got pretty huge with all my girls so far, so why should this one be any different!

I had my ultrasound 2 weeks ago (18 weeks 3 days) and she was already 10 ounces. I thought that sounded big for this stage too...but they all do grow and gain at different rates. I have the added advantage of giving birth to 9+ pound babies at full term too!! My last one was only 8 lbs 5 ozs but they induced me 9 days early so he probably would have ended up in the 9 lb range had they let me go to term!

I think you can get dna tests done while they're still in the womb but it's got risks and much safer to wait til they're born. That really sucks that he's pulling that shit. I hope you work it out

Has anyone else been feeling tired all the time? I get so freakin' tired in the afternoon, but I can't go to sleep because I have a five year old wanting to go outside and play. I don't like to let him down, so I'm always glad when it rains so I can stay in the house, lay on the couch and be lazy. My ultrasound is tomorrow at 2:40!! Oh I can hardly wait!! I'm going to get a Memorex DVD RW so it can be recorded. The best part is it will be in 3D...COOL. Isn't technology great?!

Question ladies..for those of you who had u/s already...what was the size of your baby? My baby was 14oz which i think is pretty big at this point. They even up'd my due date to the 25th of Sept as opposed to Oct. 1st based on the size. I keep reading that 9oz is the norm.

Not to scare anyone, but I lost my three month old nephew while he was in daycare, he rolled over onto his stomach and no body see him do it, he was blue in the face and later pronounced dead. So ladies, please be careful and research your daycare, ask questions, demand to see certificates and licenses, it’s your baby and you have the right to know.

It's a girl!! We had our big U/S yesterday. My husband and I both thought we were having a boy. It does not matter. We are just so happy to have a baby! They may also adjust our due date based on the measurements. We are measuring at 22 weeks instead of 20. We will wait to see the doctor next week. Happy 20 weeks!!

MIRACLEBABY08- i hear further into the 3rd tri, they start doing ultrasounds when you get closer to the end, cuz thats the only way they can measure the baby and estimate the weight

Daycare is such a hard choice to make but most people I know have their kids enrolled and the kids love it. With mortgage and gas prices (oy!) daycare is the best and only decision I can make. But of course thats only until I win the lottery (fingers crossed!)

hey ladies!! i'm seeing everyone talking about daycares... hmmm. I worked at daycare for 2 weeks and I LOVE KIDS and i left... i couldnt stand the way the owner treated those babies. BUTTT.. there's really good ones out there, i would just say to go with your first instinct. I'm lucky that i'm not going to have to deal with that, mainly because of my mother and I are working a schedule out so someone is going to be at home with the baby at all times. But for the first couple months up until next summer I'll be able to stay home!! I guess that's one of the benefits about me and my mother being RN's

well ladies..i just got home from my us & it's...............a.............GIRL!! I guess my praying for twig & berries wasn't working so i got the fortune cookie..lol. I am so excited. She was funny too, very active [even tho i have yet to feel her move] she had her fists up in the 3D u/s. it was funny. i'll be putting pics up soon.

oh my gosh, lets not talk about having to leave our babies for work please!! i feel teary just THINKING about it!! i KNOW i'm gonna be a crying mess! i dont think i will ever put my child in daycare, all the horror stories...i dont trust anyone enough. my hubby is gonna stay home with the baby since i'm in the Navy and HAVE to go to work.

I DONT EVEN WANT TO THINK ABOUT DROPPING THIS BABY OFF AT DAY CARE IT WILL BREAK MY HEART. WITH ALL THE STORIES OF ABUSE AND NEGLECT... SO FAR MY BF IS OUT OF WORK AND LOOKING... MiracleBaby08- Unfortunately I only get 6 weeks of maternity leave, so my baby is going to child care at 6 weeks old. Thanks to everyone for the comments on being a plus sized girl - I just remember with my first one that I could lay there an watch my belly roll around - it was my favorite thing! I just need to be patient.

Between my husband and myself we worked out maternity leave and vacation to keep the baby out until he is 3 months old. So start of the new year we'll both be back to work full-time.

shelleyrae33- I am plus sized also and a 1st timer so I think I feel the baby move but can't be sure!! LOL I certainly haven't seen any movement from the outside. My husband keeps trying to feel it and I just laugh

It's definitely nice getting paid, but dropping the baby off at daycare is going to be the worse thing ever for me! Luckily enough it's less than a mile away from here but still. I think in the long run though, staying at home would definitely be harder... no time off and no pay!

Well at least for most of you working you'll have the weekend off. I work as a casusl, so i've had to work everyday this week except wednesday. My next day off is on tuesday, the day of my scan so i'm excited about that! Then i'll be back at work untill the weekend!!! Housekeeping is hard work! And i think my employers are trying to force me to leave.... it's a good job i'm stubborn or i would have left weeks ago! Anyone else feeling under pressure or feeling as tho you are no longer wanted at work???

I agree Maybell I am lossing my mind staying home with my rug rats who dont listen to me... I want to go back to a paying job but then I will have to find someone to take my kids everywhere they need to go and that would cost more than i would make lol...
