Dates and numbers:
There are 73 days until your due date on October 08, 2008.
You are 207 days pregnant.
You are 6.8 months pregnant.
You are in your 7th month of pregnancy.
Your 1st trimester: January 02, 2008 to April 01, 2008. (0 - 12 weeks)
Your 2nd trimester: April 02, 2008 to July 15, 2008. (13 - 27 weeks)
Your 3rd trimester: July 16, 2008 to October 08, 2008. (28 - 40 weeks)
At this point in your pregnancy, your baby's crown-to-rump length is approximately 10.4 inches and the total length of your baby is around 16.7 inches. Your baby weighs about 2.7 pounds and continues to grow every day. If you measure from your bellybutton, your uterus is 3.5 to 4 inches above it. Total weight gain at this point is usually between 19 and 25 pounds.
Babies that are born prematurely can be very tiny. Even a baby that is only a few weeks early can be very small. Your baby will grow rapidly from now until week 36, and then at a slower rate thereafter. Generally, boys weigh more than girls at birth. The average baby's birth weight at full term is 7 to 7.5 pounds.
You might notice some leakage of colostrums from your breasts around this time. Colostrums is a sticky, watery substance that provides your baby's first food if you choose to breastfeed. Milk does not come in immediately after delivery and colostrums is high in calories and enough for your baby's first few days of life. Your baby is stimulating the production of colostrums. The baby's body is ensuring that there will be a readily available food supply after delivery.
Your baby will continue to open and close his eyes in the womb and may be able to see silhouettes of objects or even people in the right amount of light. Your baby should be moving many times throughout the day. Some of your baby's movements will be predictable and if you notice a decrease in fetal movements, you should lie down and do a fetal kick count. You should feel your baby move approximately ten times in an hour. If you do not notice the proper amount of movements, you should contact your healthcare provider.
Research has shown that your baby is not only able to hear, but also able to recognize your own voice. This shows that your baby can already learn, remember and recognize.

Thanks for everyone who's responded to my ???'s about my cat situation. Please let my correct myself to anyone who i might have offended. A cat themselves may not be dirty, but there hair gets all over EVERYTHING, and is impossible to keep up with, and the litter box is something i don't even go near. That is what i meant by saying cat's are dirty animals......... My boyfriend is looking for a new place to live for now, if he finds a way to keep them then we are keeping them, his cats are very gentle and have never attacked anyone so maybe it'll be alright to keep them, plus if we find a new place i can boot them out where they like being most OUTSIDE!!!!!!!! Whatever i do i know will be in the best interest for the babes.smm18 -

Just sitting here, I'm pretty sure I've had at least 10 kicks in the last 2 minutes! Oh, and by the way, my girl got the hiccups today. It was so cute! I even got to show my husband.christine1 -

OMG!! I feel lots of kicks all thru out the day. 10 kicks every 2 hours does not seem like a lot at all. My girl must be a marathon runner or something because she keeps it moving frequently, especially when I play the Baby Mozart CD. She seems to like that alot.

We have two cats, and they LOVED to get in the crib before Brennen was born! I was so scared they were going to lay all over him and smother him, etc. But, as soon as he came home, they stopped. We've never had a problem with them, except when he started trying to eat their cat food! So, to each his own. As far as counting movements, I don't. As long as I feel movement decently often, I'm not worrying about it. I think a lot of these things they tell you now just make people freaked out over nothing. I mean, how many posts have you seen where it's like, 'I haven't felt the baby move for a little bit,' and they go to the hospital, and everything's fine? All the time. I don't know if I'm too laid back, but I'm not worrying unless my body tells me something is seriously wrong. christine1 -

so walk out of my apartment and they are filming a movie in our yard today. Not sure what it's for but it's a little annoying cause all of their props and shit are all over the place. And we just finished cleaning the yard a few days ago. Well i'm really bored now waiting to head to the airport to go visit my parents for 3 weeks. i'm gonna miss my man for sure. I hope i don't get too big without him around to see me.armymom -

i think that whole kick count thing is overrated.. why the heck are we counting? As long as I notice movements every so often throughout the day then Im fine. But just for the record my sheet my dr gave me says 10 per 2 hrs. I dont keep track tho.tmac -

Well I had a question about the whole cat and baby thing a couple weeks ago, because we have a 1 year old cat that we love and I didn't know if we should keep him or not! I've heard lots of people say oh they smother the baby blah blah blah, but I asked my doctor and he said that it's an old wives tale that cats want the milk from a baby's mouth, he said just to play a recording of a baby crying from now until the baby is born for the cat to get use to that noise so that it doesn't really draw his attention when our baby gets here. He said the same thing for the nursery, make sure to keep it closed or to let the cat know that that is one area that is off limits! Our cat knows he can't go in her room and I play my swing from time to time so that he won't want to jump in it when she's here! He said cats and babies are fine! As mother's we're going to have our eyes on our babies constantly, especially first time mother's, we'll be overly protective. Don't worry :] I'm fine with keeping ours, doc said it was just fine!armymom -

hey every1 thanks so much for the kind words and prayers. I was released from the hospital today but ofcourse baby Amari had to stay. she is doing so good in the 3 days she's been here. after 24 hrs they took her off the vent. and put her on a thing called a c pap its kinda like a vent but less invasive. then the next day I went over to the nicu and she is on a nasel canula (sp) with just room air so basically she is breathing on her own. she is now getting feed breastmilk. she is such a fighter and she is soooo cute I love her so much. we still have a long road ahead but she has overcome the worst part. now she has to get bigger. agian thanks for the support. Cats are actually very clean animals, they are easily toilet trained and are constantly cleaning themselves if they get dirty. You can lock them in another area of the house when the baby comes or get a water bottle now and spray them with water every time they try to go into the babies room. It really does stop them from entering and teaches them its a no go zonearmymom -

courtney~ everyone has they're own opinions about cats!! I have 2 myself and some days I love them.. and some I hate them. lol. My husband would definately agree tho that they are the most disgusting animals ever and he could care less about what happens to them. So to each their own! armymom -

Actually its not illegal for management to enter an apartment.. they have the right to enter at any time without giving notice. For example, if the apt below you had a water stain from the ceiling.. they can enter your apt to find out where the leak is coming from. They should call and let you know if they are to enter your apartment but no where on your lease documents does it say they HAVE to notify you at all. The rules are much different if you rent a house vs. an apartment. I use to work as a leasing consultant for apts... so i know that lease agreement front and back belive me. As.. for the cat situation... cats can be dangerous while the baby is very young because they want to smell the babies milk breath and have been known to smother a baby but that is very rare.. as soon as the baby is old enough to pull hair.. the cat will not touch baby. lol. But tell you bf that changing the locks won't do the trick.. if anything.. that just gives them more reason to 'break' into your place. They have the right to enter especially now since they know you have illegal pets living with you. I would talk to your bf about either paying the pet deposit to the complex or getting rid of them. myst -

I have the opposite problem w/boyfriend wanting to get rid of my two cats. Cats and babies are fine. Millions of people have both. It was illegal for the landlord to enter the apt. and I would file a complaint. Your boyfriend can probably board/or find foster homes for cats until he can move. Cat rescue groups will help. I think part of loving someone is learning to love what they love (for them). Be it cats or stepchildren or stupid hobbies. smm18 -

adlde- I know how you feel. I was putting on a pair of shorts I've worn quite a few times this morning, and they didn't come up near as high as they used to, especially on the back-side, and I'm thinking, "Is THAT where all the weight has gone?" Oh well, I looked in the mirror and didn't see a problem, so I'm still a happy preggo.kittykat13 -

Courtney: I understand your opinion and dilemma, however I would like to set one thing straight and that is a misconception that cats are dirty animals, as they are not. Obviously I love cats as one could see on my profile. Anyways, I think the only two option that your boyfriend has is to either: find the cats a good home or find a new place to live. And also he may want to talk to someone about the landlord not giving notice before entering the apartment. cantwaittoseemybaby -

does anyone else feel just really bloated and fat? i have loved being pregnant i haven't had any morning sickness or anything like that, the worst that has occurred is i have found out i have GD. but other than that i can't complain, but for some reason here these last few days i have really missed my pre-preg body and especially my pre-preg boobs!!! i know i'll just have to get over it but i really do. they were all nice and perky and now they grown a size, leak a little, and are getting so big they are starting to droop!! i hate it! i know its just a fact of life that i'm going to have to deal w/ but i just wanted to vent a little and get that out there!!tmac -

I think its great! I don't want to tell people a name because it is still a couple months away and we may change our minds! If we say a name now, they will all get attached and if we change our mind they will freak out. That is what they did to my sis in law anyways! So we just say Gertrude! Its all in fun...:)LSTACY25 -

so i have a dilema, i live with my boyfriend have for two years and he has two cats (so macho) we're not supposed to have cats in our apartment, but he insisted that he would not give them away (i personally DO NOT like them) with our baby arriving in oct i've heard cats and babies are not a good combo, plus they're dirty animals. Well on tuesday our landlord went into our place while we weren't there (didn't give us notice that she's supposed to) and found our cats. She said that we have until friday to get rid of them or we'll be evicted. Inside i'm like 'wooooo hooooo' but my boyfriends brainy idea is to change the locks on her!!?!?!?!? i'm 7 1/2 hours away and he's doing WHAT!?!?! soo stressed out and he's like 'you need to come down here and deal with this' ummmm not my pets. I don't know what to do soooo stressed out!!!!gr8scottswife -

I know it's annoying when people hound you about the names you're considering for baby, but be happy that you have people around you that care so much! We haven't had anyone ask us yet... not even family. :( Oh well. If it bugs you too much, or don't want to hear remarks about it, just say you're still thinking about it and will decide when they are born. :)mom2bntexas -

smm18~ Yup. I feel that way all day, every day. Not sick, but just not hungry. I think it's because Liam is so high up in my belly, and I can't fit any food in there. When I do eat a decent meal I feel miserable afterwards. Some days I don't eat until about 3:00 p.m., and that's just because I feel like I need to, not because I actually feel like it! Weird....with my first I could NOT STOP eating!surprsdmomi -

My girl kicks my ribs all the time. I think they are in a war and she is winning. It's uncomfortable, but I'm happy that she is so active so it doesn't bother me too much, everyonce in a while she'll give me a good kick and I'll let out a yelp, but I agree with some of the other moms, I'd rather have the ribs kicked than my bladder. I'm so happy she is head down already.gr8scottswife -

I am getting bombarded with people asking me about names for Miss Pretty. Sometimes I tell them that her name is Miss Pretty until we decide on something. I told my husband that from now on I'm going to state emphatically that her name is Idella Clementine. I'm not going to crack a smile, look away, or anything like that so that they will believe me. Then, I'm going to secretly relish their reactions. I wonder how many eyes are going to pop out of their sockets. I also thought of Ezmerelda Jewel, but the l in Jewel is too close to the l in Ulrich. A real tongue twister. Is anybody else getting bombarded with questions and objections to names?surprsdmomi -

Very personal...but...My hubby and I have not been having sex very often at all these last couple of months...I'm starting to feel like I'm/pregnancy is turning him off. Last night we finally had sex but he would never 'go'...(Usually this is never a problem) After having my feelings hurt...he finally admitted that he just couldn't stop thinking about the baby, imagining that he was hurting him or poking him in thehead. Looks like my love life will not be back to normal in a WHILE! Just sharing this for anyone who feels undesirale...you are not alone.jojo21 -

tmac- About the episiotomies, I actually just watched on this show today on discovery health channel, this doctor was saying he does episiotomies when he thinks a woman will tear (i guess a lot of woman tear on their 1st) because when they sew it back up, it's much 'nicer' I guess than when it tears. But who knows...lol. I watch too much baby stuff on t.v... haha : )aliviamay100608 -

I get those lovely kicks in my ribs too. Sometimes I feel like she is just resting her foot and pressing against it for a few minutes at at time. And when she moves her arms, sometimes its EXTREMELY low and is just as painful and uncomfortable as the ribs. Oddly enough, I LOVE it! Just feeling her move always makes me happy. It keeps me going everyday : ) So as much as it can hurt sometimes, it's really not so bad. It's pretty much the highlight of my day when I feel her move..lol. I know, Im a nerd.~*courtney*~ -
