Dates and numbers:
There are 30 days until your due date on November 12, 2008.
You are 250 days pregnant.
You are 8.2 months pregnant.
You are in your 9th month of pregnancy.
Your 1st trimester: February 06, 2008 to May 06, 2008. (0 - 12 weeks)
Your 2nd trimester: May 07, 2008 to August 19, 2008. (13 - 27 weeks)
Your 3rd trimester: August 20, 2008 to November 12, 2008. (28 - 40 weeks)
Your baby now weighs over 5.5 pounds and its crown-to-rump length is approximately 13.2 inches. Your baby's total length is around 20.25 inches at this point. Your uterus is now 6 inches from the bellybutton and the average weight gain is approximately 24 to 29 pounds.

Most pregnant women begin to feel cramped and heavy around this time and often become tired of being pregnant. Some women feel like they do not have to room to breathe or eat. You should eat small, but frequent, meals and rest as often as you can throughout the day. Your cervix will begin to dilate and efface within the next few weeks to make room for your baby's head to emerge from the birth canal. Your cervix needs to be 10 cm dilated in order to deliver your baby.
This week of your pregnancy your baby's fingernails will have definitely reached the tips of his fingers. When your baby is born, his nails may look long and pointy. Your baby is less likely to scratch himself at this point because of the lack of room in the uterus. Fat deposition will still continue and your baby is getting chubbier and rounder. Your baby's shoulders are plump at this point.
The baby begins to develop its own immune system.

Thanks for the Babies R Us info girls, I took everything back and got store credit. It took a long time because for every item that wasn't on the registry, they had to look up some how. So they asked the names of the people who bought them, and low and behold, they found the items were bought there and gave me store credit, which is all I wanted. I was planning on getting a nice glider with the gift certificates and any returns that I had. And I did!!! I am so excited we have enough to buy a rocker : ))taniar82 -

Ok girls so i need some sympathy. (i dont care if you mean it or not just pretend lol) Ive been in slow unresponsive labour for 9 days. im contracting every 10 minutes but no dialation. Ive just been diagnosed with SPD and have to wear this stupid bloody belt. Im prob gonna end up having to have a c section as my vaj is too tight to let a baby pass, and they would have to cut it up beyond recognition. my clit has gone missing, i have thrush again. Ive wet myself 3x's today due to a tickly cough and my hubby has 'man flu' SO FOOKING WHAT! Plus im still working 50 hrs a week which is my own bloody fault as im self employed and too damn stuborn to give up.froggie -

Ok Ladies I have been haveing contractions know for about 30 mins and they are getting stronger as they come, In another 30 mins I will be either calling the DR or going to the hospital. Nothing I do helps with the pain, 35 weeks is 1 week early from what they want you to be when you have the baby so maybe They will not stop the labor if I am told to go to the hospital. Good luck to you all.firstbun -

to those of you who are experiencing shooting pains up your 'bits', I have them too and usually inbetween an intense braxton hick. I asked my doctor and he said baby is right down now (not engaged but right down) and baby just has a body part pushing on us...thats all it is...he even went on to say 'baby is probably just picking his nose ha ha and a body part is pushing on you while he does it'. So whilst it is uncomfortable and often you cant take a step, its ok.laura2525 -

Omg THUNDERS79!! I can completley sympathise with u!!!! I am the exact same!!! Any thing and every thing is a complete struggel!!! I am constantly in pain and aching like mad.. I told my Midwife and I have been told i have got SPD (Symphis Pubis Dysfunction) and got refered to a physio class and was given crutches to take the load off, feel asthough its getting no better tho :o( I have now been sent to see a consultant who has said that the only other way to get rid of my pain is to be induced which luckily i will be at 38 weeks!!!! Ask ur midwife about what u can do and explain how much trouble it is causing u!!! I dont no about u lot but my pelvis is also in two!! Feel like it is about to split every time i go to stand up too, and turning in my sleep is a major NO NO, it kills!!!! Ahhh well 4 weeks and counting x

i don't know about that, but the Babies R Us stores here are pretty good with return policies. they may not give you back the money, but they will give store credit (and with our babies, we definitely will use it later!)...thunders79 -

This site is great! i have spent the past hour crying because i can't get comfortable, my back hurts, my arms ache etc etc. Everything is such a struggle now. I have a shower, get dressed.... then i'm knackered! plus i still have two more weeks at work which isn't easy as i get so tired. I can't sleep etc. I was feeling really down earlier, like i'm the only one who doesn't do being pregnant very well. Its good to know that what i'm feeling is normal. Also, i'm getting a LOT of pressure down below which is sometimes painful. I get shooting pains going up inside me too which is horrible. I would be surprised if I last to my due date. sorry to rant girlies. i'm not having a very good day. Baby dust to all xBeaDis -

blooming-angie that is what your doctor is for.
marsup babies rus has a crappy return policy they wont even take it back without a receipt UNLESS... you put it on your registry and update it to say purchased then you just tell them somebody got it for you off your registry and they should take it back. good luck.blooming-angie -

I cant find a comfy position either...I try propping up 3 pillows and then putting a pillow under my knees and sometimes that works. I know your supposed to lay on left side but I have this pain in my middle back that it makes it worse when i lay on my side. It is 1am and i am wide awake..every night is a struggle to be comfortable and get good sleep. cluck77 -

Hi ladies, week 35 today and loving every minute of it! My co-workers surprised me with a pizza party and a few gifts today for lunch. It was very sweet and very unexpected. I have my 36 week appt with my OB on Wednesday; we should see our little butterball again so I can't wait for that. Went to lamaze class #2 last night and let me tell ya, 3 hours is wayyy too long. The instructor is nice but after a long day of work, 3 hours is just not fun. My hubby and I also took an infant CPR class earlier in the week and we thought that was very good. Either one of us knew anything about CPR and I wouldn't say we're experts now, but I think if there was an emergency, we'd be able to deal with it so ladies, if its offered to ya, I highly recommend it!!
Hope everyone is doing well and stay strong these last few weeks. Very soon we will have our beautiful little miracles here in the world! XOXOlulunava -

Today is my last day at work. After today, I am on Maternity leave and don't think i would of hung any longer. This job is so stessful. I am being yelled at and threatened by customers who are upset. So glad I don't have to put up with it anymore. Should return on 1/12/09 (not long enough). I wish I could stay with my baby for at least 1 year but economy is not good and both me & hubby need to work. marsup -

Hello everyone!!!! I am now in week 35 and getting so excited! But tonight was kinda scary. I was at work and all day I had been having round ligament pain in my left side which was only made worse by Aryana sitting on it. Well that pain started to move to the middle of my belly button, and then go away. It repeated that a few times and I didnt think to much of it, but then Ary stopped moving. So I waited a while and nothing. I started poking what I assume to be her little bum, and nothing. I poked harder and shook my belly and she would not move. At our childbirth class the nurse talked about placenta abruption and how if that happens the baby only has 10 minutes to live. So I started to panick, I went into my supervisors room and was crying and said 'I cant feel Ary move'. I sat down and tried to relax and finally she move. Definatly a Beasley baby because it takes an act of God to wake her up just like her daddy. So then of course she was all over the place. I still called my nurse and she said that was probably a BH contraction. The only thing about that is my uterus didnt tighten up. But she said that is what it sounded like. They said if it starts again to time it. Thank God she is ok. I was so scared. She is still moving in and out of my ligament which is killing me, but hey at least she is moving right? I am now wondering if all this activity means she is getting closer to entering this world. Guess we will have to wait and see. Baby dust to everyone!!!!! We are almost there! :D

btw: the only reason the Neo-natologist let me go was if I promised to be on strict bedrest. like I can't even get the mail. katie459 -

OMG!! I was in the hospital for two days and I just came home tonight from having high bloop pressure and headaches. The neonatologist was going to do an amnio to see if the lungs were ready and have my OB induce, but after 5 hours of bedrest, my BP came down. He said that there was no need for an induction so no amnio-thank goodness. So I stayed over night for monitoring and my doctor stripped my membranes yesterday. I am SO SO So sore. It hurts so bad (still) I started crying when he did it just cause everything else was hurting (my head, carpal tunnel, hips, etc.) and he didn't tell me he was going to do that. On a better note, they did an u/sound and I saw the baby's chubby cheeks, eyes move, his turned up nose, his feet flex. Oh it was so sweet. I can't wait to meet him. I heard other babies delivering all night and day and was thinking how close we all are. My dr. said that he will do and induction at 37. There was a lady there though who was only 31 weeks and had to stay there the rest of her pregnancy. I was so thankful to be this far. Oh my cervix still hurts so bad. It is like throbbing just sitting in my computer chair.rain13 -

My hubby and I haven't had sex in months!!! I have absolutely no desire to have sex or anything related. The poor guy has been seriously deprived but he is taking it quite well considering. I'd rather sleep or lay on the couch watching t.v!!! LOLHuma-A -

haha i'm glad i'm not the only one feeling that way about the sex issue (not wanting it). last time i think i was one of the very few who felt that way.... they SAY that it does bring on contractions and stuff but it just really depends on each pregnancy or something. like some said, it did nothing for them... and i've heard for some, it did. but who knows if it really was that or just time for it to happen? sonia -

Well I heard lots of diffent things about having sex with both of my boys i was not able to threw the whole pregnancy an at the end when i did do it the next day i did go in to labor an this time around again strickly no sex well last monday we finally did it an i was cramping an lil contractions threw the night an that was all. My hubby and I had sex like crazy at the end with my first daughter and it did NOTHING!!! I mean we did it everyday for a couple of weeks and if I had known it would be pointless, I wouldn't have bothered because I was too tired and uncomfortable to be doing it for the joy of it! lolmarsup -
