Dates and numbers:
There are 70 days until your due date on December 16, 2008.
You are 210 days pregnant.
You are 6.9 months pregnant.
You are in your 7th month of pregnancy.
Your 1st trimester: March 11, 2008 to June 09, 2008. (0 - 12 weeks)
Your 2nd trimester: June 10, 2008 to September 22, 2008. (13 - 27 weeks)
Your 3rd trimester: September 23, 2008 to December 16, 2008. (28 - 40 weeks)
At this point in your pregnancy, your baby's crown-to-rump length is approximately 10.4 inches and the total length of your baby is around 16.7 inches. Your baby weighs about 2.7 pounds and continues to grow every day. If you measure from your bellybutton, your uterus is 3.5 to 4 inches above it. Total weight gain at this point is usually between 19 and 25 pounds.
Babies that are born prematurely can be very tiny. Even a baby that is only a few weeks early can be very small. Your baby will grow rapidly from now until week 36, and then at a slower rate thereafter. Generally, boys weigh more than girls at birth. The average baby's birth weight at full term is 7 to 7.5 pounds.
You might notice some leakage of colostrums from your breasts around this time. Colostrums is a sticky, watery substance that provides your baby's first food if you choose to breastfeed. Milk does not come in immediately after delivery and colostrums is high in calories and enough for your baby's first few days of life. Your baby is stimulating the production of colostrums. The baby's body is ensuring that there will be a readily available food supply after delivery.
Your baby will continue to open and close his eyes in the womb and may be able to see silhouettes of objects or even people in the right amount of light. Your baby should be moving many times throughout the day. Some of your baby's movements will be predictable and if you notice a decrease in fetal movements, you should lie down and do a fetal kick count. You should feel your baby move approximately ten times in an hour. If you do not notice the proper amount of movements, you should contact your healthcare provider.
Research has shown that your baby is not only able to hear, but also able to recognize your own voice. This shows that your baby can already learn, remember and recognize.

Yeah like I said the first couple times is okay but after awhile.. it is annoying... I guess I shouldn't complain since I am so neurotic when I don't feel it.. Liz3 -

HIC-CUPS, HIC-CUPS... ALL DAY this baby has the hiccups.. does anyone else have this happen? I wonder if I am eating something that the baby doesn't like??? I don't mind the hiccupps the first or second time he/she gets them but it is like 5-6 times a day... nikkil8202 -

butterfly - I don't think it's 10 times every hour, just 10 times in an hour throughout the day. Yesterday I was running (I use that term loosely) around doing errands and afterwards I realized that I hadn't felt the baby kicking in a while, so I must have just rocked him/her to sleep. I feel the movements more when I'm less active. Like today sitting at work, the baby is just constantly rolling around in my stomach. I may have to take a walk to give him/her a nap.minnie*me -

I don't ususally comment much on here...but I had to reply to Kelli about that show (autism X6) I watched it the other day in complete disbelief....I even turned to my husband and said that the show was horrible and all it did was make me mad! Now, I do not have much experience with autistic children, but I do know that the environment they were in was not at all ideal, and from what I have read, seen, etc....there is much more that can be done for those children. It's like I said to my husband....they are merely surviving and that isn't right. I do have siblings with disabilities though...so I do know what NOT to do...and what needs to be done.....(my sister has down's syndrome, and my brother also has disabilities, but there is nothing he is labeled with ...other than mental retardation) Anyways, I'm glad to see I am not the only one that was disgusted by what they saw!Angie- -

Butterfly- There are times when I dont feel her move. But I think its because she's sleeping. If they move so much every hour they MUST be exhausted lol butterfly909 -

ok so i feel dumb asking this, but when you guys say 'measuring at 30 weeks' for example, is that based on the size of your belly?Angie- -

thanks Kelli. It's very interesting. I'm sorry you have to go through it but it seems as though you have a great handle on the situation as difficult as it may be. I give you so much credit as I'm sure it's difficult enough with one child but to have four, wow. kellimg (spunky) -

jluv, I believe it's because she as many (not myself) believe that it was the immunizations that 'caused' her son's Autism, so she stopped the continuing rounds of doses, so therefore it makes him susceptable to disease and illness.
I saw the same interview....again, lots of controversial views from lots of different parents and people. I feel in many cases, such as my own, that genetics is a MUCH bigger factor than immunizations. I also believe that some environmental factors are most likely interacting with the genetics, much more than before, and Autism is becoming less 'rare' than it was.
I also believe that it's NO epidemic, but instead there is much more awareness and knowledge about what Autism is, and so it is being diagnosed more often at an alarming rate, as more and more people and parents are aware that the behavior they are seeing isn't just 'eccentric' or 'weird' or 'a bad kid', but is in fact Autism Spectrum Disorder. Therefore more and more kids, youths, and even adults are now being diagnosed, that even as of 10-15 years ago, would have been seen as ADD/ADHD or with something else, or just plain weird.

I also saw a brief intereview with Jenny McCarthy over the weekend I think, yeah it was on Access Hollywood which I don't usually watch but the channel was on. Anyway, I guess her 6 year old is/was Autistic but she believes he no longer is. He is home schooled because he can't be in a regular school with so many 'germs'??? I don't know much about this but his 'school' setting in the house is very sterile.kellimg (spunky) -

Girlygirl....with COMPLETE CRAP on the TV like that, if I didn't know better and hadn't already experienced this life with 4 Autistic kids, I would have run for the freakin hills after watching it!!!!
These children were protrayed as completely retarded incapable of learning or behaving!!! IT IS SO FAR FROM THE TRUTH!!! As long as you have parents willing to give their all to fight with and for their child, it just DOESN'T have to be that way.
I kid you not girls, I have been in such an emotional state all weekend from this, and was back and forth from tears to anger, that it's been crazy and I only WISH I could blame it on hormones or mood swings, it's just plain old Pissed Off Mommy Syndrome!!!!
I did write to some and told them, I DARE anyone to bring cameras in MY house and tape MY kids acting like that without ME crawling down their throats or warming their asses for it!!!! MY kids are not animals...not like these kids were portrayed as being. I just want to scream...it's got me SOOO riled up, I'm surprised I have started having contractions yet!!!
I did however learn from another interview I saw online that the mother did have a 'breakdown' from the 'stress' of it all and the kids were taken away from her for 2 whole weeks, while she underwent an evalutaion.......NOT LONG ENOUGH IN MY OPINION!!!!

Kelli...I saw an advertisement for that show too. I'm going to be honest with you, and I hope it doesn't offend you, but it scared the crap out of me! I would love my child no matter what, but autism is something that really does frighten me because there's just so much to it.sionainne -

marietta - I do that in bed sometimes when I wake up or I can't sleep because of the pain. I just get on all fours and arch and de-arch(?) my back. I do find that it helps.last night I took two tylenol before I went to bed with the hopes it would help alleviate the hip pain. What started happening to me on Friday (after my drs appt. of course) was that my right hip area started hurting really badly when I laid in bed on my side. The pain actually triggers cramps in my stomach sometimes. So last night I also tried putting a pillow under my stomach so that I could lean a little further on my stomach and to try not to put so much pressure on my hip. I did help a little bit.

Okay ladies...went to doc today and am measuring at 34 weeks. I have to have yet another u/s next Monday (my 7th) to check my amniotic fluid levels. I may have polyhydramnios, but not sure. They didn't find anything wrong with my baby at my last u/s (3 weeks ago) when they saw my fluid levels were a bit high so I'm hoping things are still well. Happy Monday to all!sionainne -

Good morning ladies! I've been trying to upload my 3D pics and nursery pics but for some reason after I click 'continue' it brings me back to my profile page and nothing has been added. I'll keep trying!
I'm with you all on the back problems. It doesn't matter how much I rest or how much my husband massages my back, I still wake up stiff and sore. Ohhhh the joys of pregnancy!toni122108 -

Kelli I missed it.. damnit.. I will try to find it.. I wld like to watch it.. YOU need to have a camera come into YOUR house for a week to see what its like. I mentioned it to Ray and he agreed.... Becuz when people who DONT live with it see it then it totally kills anything that they thought that they knew about Autism. I hate that.. sorry! I am going to try and find it so I can watch itbabybutler -

So, my MIL is driving me crazy because she wont stop about how my son 'already looks just like daddy' and the worst part is she keeps saying how you can already tell that Aiden has her 'good chin' and her nose. Ok, am I being silly by getting very annoyed by this?? I posted the pics, what do you guys think? You know what else she did...after the sonogram on saturday she asked to take some of the photos with her. I replied 'no, I would like to put them on the computer before I give any out' because up HELLO, I just paid the $$ for these so why am I going to let you walk away with one that I dont have a copy of?? After I said no, her persistant ass asked 3 more time. Am I just being emotional???meadow -

Liz....it wasn't due to hormones, believe me, it was due to watching a piece of crap called Autism x6!!!!! Complete GARBAGE!!!! It should be labeled as fiction....or at least with a warning stating 'if you don't parent and discipline your children with or without Autism, these are the brats and the type of life you will live as well'
I can tell you and anyone else here, I LIVE this life everyday with 4 kids on the spectrum (with just as big a range as this family has)....and MY life is nothing like this. My kids are nothing like this either. I DO NOT feel sorry for these people, nor pity their life....they are getting EXACTLY what they are putting into it. The kids I only feel sorry for as they are capable of SO MUCH MORE, but will never be able to display their abilities, due to their parents inabilites to give them the chance to succeed.
The whole thing is a pathetic piece of trash, that is so biased and discriminatory at best, at showing what Autistic children are like and capable of, and what life is really like living with them, and parenting them. NO.....THIS IS NOT HORMONES...this is one pissed of parent, who fights for her children to be seen as human beings not poor, out of control animals, and in ONE HOUR, this show totally blew apart what it has taken many of us years to help other's to understand and see in our kids and in our lives.
