I went to the Dr's Monday. Everything looks good. Healthy heart with 4 chambers. He is sending me to a specialist, Maternal-Fetal Medicine or Perinatology. It's a specialist for 'old' pregnant women for my advanced maternal age. I'm only 36! (I guess I could be a grandmother) Are there any preggos that are over 35 years of age? Did your Dr send you to any specialists?

I feel little flutters too! its not gas I know that and I do know after the more children you have you tend to notice signs alot faster! Iam starting to show a little! not much though

After reading some of the comments, I am feeling a lot better. I thought that I was going crazy. I swear that I feel occasional flutters even though Im not supposed to feel anything yet. So, anyway, glad to hear Im not the only one.

i have been so super tired and completely disinterested in sex for the longest time. i have a 20 mth old and a 7 mth old and am 9 weeks pregnant. that is a definite reason for my sleepiness. but, yesterday my libido took a turn. my husband is so happy. now to find the time..hahaha!

white light> your right about the gestational age. Since pregnancy is considered to start from the first day of your last period to maintain a standard (since the conception date cannot be determined), it includes the 2 weeks before you would usually be able to actually concieve, hence the 2 week difference. so a 6 week pregnancy is 4 weeks gestation. Glad you had a great scan!!! lucky you know the actually heart rate. My doctor didn't mention it to me and I didn't realize it until I left *sigh*

Finally got my first midwife appoint for next wed - Actually feel like things are starting to happen now. Next should be a scan fingers crossed. I too have found that my tummy is starting to itch, i put it down to the skin starting to stretch!!! My jeans are starting to get a little too tight. Hope all is going well for you all. xx

borderchick I hav had the same feeling in my tummy. And the crmping too but the feel different. Is anyone else's tummy starting to get itchy? last 2 days have been itchyand my belly button looks like its streching to the sides.

Hi everybody...I just signed up to this site I'm 9weeks with an IVF pregnancy from a frozen Embryo transfer, I have a daughter also IVF she is 2...this pregnancy is so different I'm more tired and sick 24/7 totally gone off sex much to my husbands dissapointment, and I too have the weirdest dreams...some wake me up crying and I remember them too usually when I dream I don't. i have more pain this time too and keep goint to the toilet convinced I'm bleeding stupid aye. I have thought I have felt the tiniest flutter in my tummy over the last few days..anyone else this early? I had a scan at week 6 and was so happy to see a very strong heartbeat!

So this week 9 actually means that out babys are 7 weeks (gestationl) Im a little confused. Cos on week 6 it says you have actualy been pregnant for a month. I had a dating ultrasound yesterday and i was 7 weeks 1 day! Saw the heart beat (150bpm) was fantasitc! but painful on the poor bladder

lol. You all are killing me with these dreams, since i have been reading your posts for 2 days, of coarse last night i had the most bizarre dream of all. My house caught fire but got put out with snow, then i saw a orange baby laughing at me? wtf...lol.. If our husbands/byfriends/fiance/spouse even knew how crazy our hormones are, even in our sleep. lol

Dreams since were on that subject lol I have been hving the oddest of dreams first of all I didnt tell my hubby about these he would freak just like i did I woke up like um okay not even possiable! I dreamed I was having the baby and my best friend which happends to be a guy was in the chair my husband should have been in and he was telling me its okay our baby will be here in no time I woke up and was like naugh, never going to happend! I was like what why did I dream that? lol! Then last night I dreamed that I lost a tooth as with all my pregnancies I have this dream except this time it was different intead of it falling out and it being gone like the other two pregnancies.. it fell out and a beautiful new tooth was behind it so I was okay in the dream was just like okay whatever and went on in the dream. Although the last two pregnancies I had the tooth falling out dream and they stayed gone and I was crying in my dream how bad it looked and all lol pregnancy and dreams man really off the wall dreams agree?

armywf11b I feel the exact all i wanna do is sleep my fiance' is so like lets get up and do somthing im like ok then im tried i sleep all night and day til i have to work then while im 2 hours in work i start falling alsleep feelin like imma faint if i dont go lay right away. my 1st doc appt i 2mrw im excited i jus wanna kno if everything is ok.

Oh man!!!! I am sooooo tired!! I don't remember being so drained with my other 2!! Well, it could be that I'm single mom 'ing' it up while hubby is in Iraq. I had a doctors apt last week and he told me that I had to move in with my parents or have someone move in with me to help relieve my 'stress'. I can't work and all I want to do is sleep and be lazy!! Anyone else feel me??

Awww the miscarriage deal is really scary I feel for you.:( I had the worse cramps today almost like a stomach attack right in the middle of working on a patient. I ran to the bathroom and stayed there forever. Finally after forever I guess it was just a bad case of gas really embarassing but better than the worse I was worried. I tried to push my daughter's bed and thought maybe I did something. So no more of that. Well ladies its late for me and I must rest to do my best tomorrow goodnight Sweet dreams only :) xxoo B

I am glad to hear that I am not alone in the spotting stuff...though I do not wish the scariness that it has brought me to anyone else. Today is the 3rd day, and yesterday things at the doctor looked fine. I wonder if perhaps the transvaginal ultrasound and internal exam could have exacerbated the spotting...probably. Anyway, it made me feel so much better to see the baby and that the doctor was so accomodating to have me in.

I've had scary dreams - like a few days ago I had a dream that this stranger forced me to let her take my baby out of me with these two long needles. I think it's my fear of losing the baby... I wish I was having sex dreams!

I'm having really wacky dreams too. And they're all very different. And sometimes I was dreaming something romantic with people that I NEVER EVER would have even thought about that. It's just so weird LOL

SarDean...I've met many people who believe that dreaming of a certain sex of baby, is your intuitions way of speaking to you. I have to doubt that, as with my first SON, I dreamt all the time of having a girl!!! I now have 4 boys.....and am currently pregger's with #5. We can hope it's a girl, but at this point, I've given in to the fact I'm going to be the only female in this house!!! I do however have very vivid and colorful dreams, as well as very emotional dreams when I'm pregnant and this time is no exception. Good luck to everyone!!!

Does anyone have weird dreams? Either just sort of out there in general or even sex dreams you don't usally have. I think my psychy is playing tricks on me. I had a dream I was sitting on the floor of what will be the nursery and I was changing my baby to be. I looked down and it was a girl. I'm sort of wondering if that's just me telling myself I want a girl.

Gojeda, I wouldn't worry too much about the spotting. Spotting in the first trimester is incredibly normal. But, if you're worried, just call your doctor and make an appointment.

you know...i thought i was crazy. i feel little flutters from time to time. i'm guessing it's the muscles stretching. i just had two babies 2006 and 2007 so my muscles are probably pretty lax.

i have a question for u ladies in wk 9 or who has other children ok my question...did any of u feel like small flutters in ur stomach while layin down on ur back or sides during this week i do not know if i am pregnant or not i have taken 3 test all bfn went to hospital for one of those they would not to blood and i am waitin on gettin into my doc for blood right now but i do have a cousin and know others who had to have blood to see if they are pregnant but i have not had a period since march 12 and i have estimated if i was pregnant i would be due dec 13 so that makes me 9 weeks and 3 days so just wonder if anyone has felt little flutters in their bellies like it is barely noticeable but u can still feel it i know for a fact it is not gas please respond to this and thanks

candida- I've experienced this problem with my husband both times now. Even though he knows baby will be fine, he is protective. Every now and again I have to remind him how protected the baby is. Hang in there! His hormones will probably get the better of him in a little while!!! lol

is anybody else having problems woith their boyfriend/husband not wanting to have sex with them because their pregnant and cause they dont want to hurt the baby cause i sure as heck am..........almost a month :( makes me feel like he doesnt want me anymore and all i do is cry because of the stupid hormones. i dont know what to do

Ok I have no problems eating. Discomforts are moderate but I feel like Im losing my mind! I cant stand my partner, I pick a fight over everything. At first I thought it was hormones but Its just him I cant stand, anyone else having the same problem?

This is my very first pregnancy, I am going to be starting week #10 in 2 days. I look forward to Wednesdays now more than ever. I was reading some of the comments and I can totally relate. I can't take my prenatal vitamins in the morning anymore, they totally make me gag, so I have to take them at night before I go to bed (with a huge mouthful of water). I too had some brown-spotting a few days ago. I think it has to do with the increased vasculature. But my biggest issue is sciatic pain! I have been experiencing it since week #6 and it keeps me from bending over, from exercising, etc. I have thought about yoga...any input?

Curious- I had some brown spotting yesterday and today and went to the doctor today. He performed an ultrasound so we got to see our little 'LePetite' again, and my how it had grown from the one we had at 7 weeks. Anyway, the baby's heart rate was at 203bpm, which seemed high to me, and the doctor said that it was a bit higher than what is classified as 'normal', that it was no problem because the heart rate does fluctuate. I have looked a little online and found that during weeks 8-10, it can even get up to 200, so I feel a bit better about that. Any of you ladies had anything like that on an ultrasound?

im one of the lucky ones who doesn't throw up or get much M/S. but i dont have an appetite i think i need to have to keep me and the baby healthy i'm usually fine with one or 2 meals a day. anyone else experiencing this lack of appetite?
