Your baby's crown-to-rump length is 5.2 to 6 inches this week. Your baby weighs approximately 7 ounces and will increase its weight more than 15 times between now and birth!

Most women can feel their uterus about a half of an inch below their bellybutton at this point of pregnancy. If you turn to the side, you can really tell that your body is changing! Most women have gained up to 14 pounds now and only 7 ounces of that is your baby! The placenta weighs about 6 ounces and the amniotic fluid that surrounds your baby weighs 11 ounces. Your breasts have increased in weight by 6 ounces each and the uterus has grown to 11 ounces! You may be gaining weight in places other than your abdomen and this may be affecting your posture and sleeping habits.

One of the most amazing aspects of your baby's growth and development is that of the fetal brain. Your baby's brain is one of the first organs to appear. Your baby's oversized head shows the brain's importance in his development. Because the nerves that connect the muscles to the brain have grown into place, your baby's movements are consciously directed. Your baby's ears stand out from the sides of the head and the buds for your baby's permanent teeth appear. Your baby's arms and legs have reached their relative proportions and his feet are approximately one inch long.

I forgot to share my exciting news!! Last night I felt my baby for the first time!! :) And he/she was going crazy! yOu could see my belly move when he kicked, and hubby felt it once too! What a special feeling!!! Yay! I was beginning to think I would never feel him...haha

Hollyandsky~ so sorry to hear that! I have been in preterm labor for 3 weeks now but until I am 22 weeks it is not called labor, its called cramping....Which sucks since they wont give me any mag or terbutaline until 21 weeks maybe 20 weeks depending how they feel. I have had my oldest kids at 28 and 32 weeks and my last I lost at 18 weeks due to placenta problems. This go round I have a complete placenta previa and a slight placenta abruption..Yuck

Oh Yummy, olive garden was awesome.....I ate a whole big bowl of salad plus some and brough the rest home. Of course the enjoyment was overshadowed by a really rude lady...I decided to sit down in the bar area right up front at a table that hadn't been cleaned off yet. I asked the hostesses if that was ok and they said it was first come first serve. Well as soon as I sat down this lady with a kid in tow come screaming at me saying she had been waiting for 10 minutes for the table. I kindly told her it was first come first serve and she should have sat down. She kept going on and cursing and I told her to please leave me alone. My hubby walks up and she said wow, I am surprised you have a man as you are so ugly. I told her that I was pregnant and very high risk and to please shut her mouth and quit stressing me out....then she said something about me being skinny......she was heavy set wearing spandex pants and a tight tank top..but I was nice and kept my mouth shut....Hubby was getting pissed off at this point and she just kept going off on me and the staff.....Oh well, the food was good...and the best part...My clumsy self knocked over my tea and spilled all over the place and she got a bunch on her feet as she ended up sitting down next to me......HAHA.....Paybacks a bi*** I guess.....

Doc called to day bad news well with my 8 month old i have a fibroid which isnt to serious but it cause preterm labor and at 7 months it was the size of a grapefruit had her at 36 weeks well doc said its already size of large orange! then i had pupps with her well i have them again which causes preterm labor and still born then third because my pregnacys are so close preterm goes up to 41% so i have to go see a high risk specialist and get the steroid shots so her lungs develop now i am 20 weeks today and i can have her as early as 24 not looking good

Had my 19 week ultrasound yesterday and it was amazing!! Did not find out the sex of baby as they wouldn't tell me. May have to go and have the 3D done just to find out =0) Did see it kicking and bouncing around and sucking! Very cute!! Almost halfway! Congrats to all!!!

Yeah I wish I could go to Olive Garden. The husband thinks that it is healthy food so he can't go there. He is stupid! There is an Olive Garden maybe 2 miles away from me and I think I have been there once, he also won't eat at Famous Daves, but then he also won't eat at Fudruckers which is a burger shop. I don't understand him he thinks that you can eat McDonalds and any other fast food restaurant 3 times a day and it is ok for you. No wonder to why I don't trust him with taking my little guy out he orders him a 10 piece chicken nugget meal and thinks it is ok for a 2 1/2 year old. One day I will eat at Olive Garden again.

I have a quick question... I have a fetal doppler that I rented online and I check the babies heartbeat about every three days or so. I checked it yesterday and everything was perfect, he is in the same spot every morning and really easy to find. I literally put it a little below my belly button and I can hear the heartbeat loud and clear. For some reason I felt the need to do it this morning and the heartbeat was hard to find. It took me about 10 minutes to find it and it was on the side of my lower belly. Should I be concerned at all??? Also, I'm a little wetter down there than I usually am, could I be leaking something? I think I'm just a little paranoid today, but I thought I'd see what you ladies thought. I hope everyone is doing well!!

Yesterday, I was told my baby has something call Choriod Plexus Cysts in his brain (fluid in the blood vessels). It could be nothing and go away on it's own or it could indicate he has Trisomy 18. I'm freaking out and a complete mess, please let me know if you've been diagnosed with this or you know someone who has. I need to hear from people...I need all the power or positive think from everyone right now...

Congratulations to all the ladies with the girls!! This is the week of the girl! Though, I am having my baby boy. I couldn't be more excited! Finally in week 19. Feeling a little low today! Me and the bf broke up. Serious horrible break up yesterday! I told him I never wanted to see him again and for him to forget about us! I know that sounds mean, but I really mean it! He said/did some really mean things yesterday. I did too, which all started over a teddy bear the ex gave me. So I am in it all alone! Sorry to throw myself a little pity party! I just needed to vent!

Lindie - Just so you know, if it actually is the heart stopping and starting, that is a harmless thing that some people have. I forgot what it's called, but it's known as heart skipping a beat and I have that. My husband likes to freak himself out when he lays on me listening to my heart, and it will stop and start up again. It's weird but harmless.

So..My contractions are still coming, not as frequent but their strengh hasn't changed. I still have complete placenta previa and the likelyhood of it moving up is very slim as it is moving further down as my uterus grows. My doc has allowed me one day a week short excursion so my hubby is taking me to Olive Garden for lunch before he leaves for the weekend. He has to go home 3 hours from here to help his mother....The car ride is too long for me so I am stuck at home all weekend... I so can't wait to eat Olive Garden's salad.....I probably could eat a whole bowl by myself, lol!!!!!

Lindie~ I have had the same thing and it is just the baby moving. Also sometimes they rotate their torso and their back is towards your belly and you can't get the heart rate very easily. Also, background noises will cause the doppler to lose the heart rate for a few seconds....

Hi Ladies! So last night my hubby and I notices heart irregularities through the doppler...We listen every night and have never heard anything like this. It was like the heart was beating normal, then there would be a pause, and then the heart would start beating again...It happened several times, and we are really concerned. Has anyone else noticed this or had a similar experience?? My doctor is on my call list first thing this morning, but I am so worried!!!

morning girls, so im a little annoyed today, my big u/s is on the 2nd and i had a friend coming with me up untill the point the babies daddy decided he wanted to be there, so i cancelled on my friend which she was fine about, and then today the daddy texts me and says his boss wants him to go training with him on the day of my scan so he wont b able to come, he had booked a day off work so he could come, but he'd booked the 3rd, not the 2nd..how dumb!! now i gotta see if my friend still wants to come n im gonna feel bad cuz i cancelled on her for my idiotic ex. :(

Hi guys, thank you so much for all your congrats about my wedding! Life is just so perfect. Hope everyone is well and loving their growing bump! Going for my second and final scan on Monday and I just can't wait - hoping baby has his/her legs closed as I want the sex to be a surprise! Anyone got a really bad back after sitting down for a long time - My 'coxic' bone which is at the very bery bottom of my spine really hurt to the point where I am thinking about sitting in a rubber ring on chairs!!

I am glad that I work at home because I dont' have to wear shoes all day, if my feet swell I don't know what I will do. I hate flip flops, I have good feet nothing wrong with them and I want to keep them that way that is why I don't wear the flip flops. Hmmm maybe I will just wear bigger tennis shoes if I have to.

No time for TV for me! Between work and taking care of my 8-month old. I am looking forward to Heroes, at least I can record them and watch them when I get a chance. MY SHOES ARE TOO TIGHT! I guess its that time for my feet to start swelling. I will have to start wearing flip-flops or slip-ons, which I hate! I am self conscious about my feet! Actually, I am self conscious about everything right now! Can't wait until Sept 2 to hopefully find out gender.
