Dates and numbers:
There are 88 days until your due date on February 18, 2009.
You are 192 days pregnant.
You are 6.3 months pregnant.
You are in your 7th month of pregnancy.
Your 1st trimester: May 14, 2008 to August 12, 2008. (0 - 12 weeks)
Your 2nd trimester: August 13, 2008 to November 25, 2008. (13 - 27 weeks)
Your 3rd trimester: November 26, 2008 to February 18, 2009. (28 - 40 weeks)
You are now in the third trimester, and last, of your pregnancy! Your baby's crown-to-rump length is about 9.6 inches and your baby's total length is approximately 15.3 inches! Your baby now weighs about 2 pounds 3 ounces and is going to grow rapidly during this last trimester! Your uterus is about 2.8 inches above your bellybutton.
If your baby were born now, it would have an 85% chance of surviving. Even though your baby is still not fully developed, she would be well within the limits of premature viability. You still have approximately 13 weeks left of your pregnancy, and during this time your baby must continue to grow and develop. If your baby was born at this time, she would have several complications that would require special attention. Because babies do not have adequate amounts of fat at this time, your baby would have to be kept inside of an incubator for warmth. Because the air sacs in your baby's lungs do not yet have surfactant, she would require an artificial respirator. Your baby's brain, liver and immune system still need to develop more also.
Make sure you take good care of your teeth. So-called `
pregnancy gingivitis` affects most pregnant women to some degree, and generally occurs in the second trimester. If you already have gingivitis, the condition is likely to worsen during pregnancy.
Your baby can develop hiccups

okay, talk about being oversensitive. before he left for class today, he accidentally pointed out a blemish on my face and i actually told him to 'just go' without saying i love you back to him. then, as soon as the door was shut, i sat down and cried. lol.mandygirl001 -

I have CRAZY burning in my throat! I'm constantly throwing up in my mouth. I don't have it every single day but when I do it's misery. Even if I go hours and hours in between meals it still burns like I just ate. I keep my meals pretty small or average. I don't really find and rhyme or reason to what causes it...it could be any number of different foods. I'm so excited for Saturday...I get my 3d/4d ultrasound!!xxdanixx -

and for some reason i've had lots of acid reflux lately no matter what i eat or drink... anyone had any burning in the throat or heartburn?sleepyem -

Does anyone else feel like they're 'bursting' - not physically but like full of emotion? It's this crazy, slightly orgasmic, excited, full of every emotion, craving for life sort of feeling... And at the same time I'm finding I get overwhelmed SO easily - by tiredness, emotions, by a feeling that there's too much to do and everything gets on top of me... This is so hard, but so amazing too. On the weightgain - I haven't weighed myself for a while but I must have put on at least 12kg by now - but I don't look like I've put on that much (though there's definitely a bit extra on the bum and thighs!! I have cellulite for the first time!). Aliwitbaby I hear you on the kegels - I'm just too lazy to do them!spencerbaby1 -

violet23- kegals are a muscle up inside you. you can do kegal exercises by going pee then mid stream stop yourself. the tightening of the muscle to stop you pee flow is the kegal muscle! once you know how it feels to flex that muscle you can do it without peeing. its supposed to strengthen the muscles and is said to improve tightness after the baby is bornmegan5579 -

Yay!! Last day in week 27! Surprisedat40 - You should have smacked that woman! I can't believe she would say something so rude to you! I am having my second boy, and a couple of people have also said 'Oh, sorry..' or 'Oh, I bet you were hoping for a little girl.' Jeez! While I have to admit, I WAS originally hoping for a girl this time around, I'm totally thrilled to have a healthy little boy getting ready to come into the world, and so I just stop them in their tracks and talk about all the reasons that i'm GLAD I'm having a boy instead of a girl. I just want my little one to know that I'm excited and proud to have him as my son, and not at ALL disappointed. Some people can be so thoughtless!violet23 -

shangra 10 pounds is not to much ,I have gained 9 kilos which I think is almost 20 pounds and I was alreasy overweighted, still my doc said I can put on another 6 kilos till the end,do you have a health issue ?Maybe that;s why he doesn;t want you to put too much weight..shangra -

Had a doctors appointment today, passed my glucose test, heartbeat was good, but the doctor made me mad cause he thinks I've gained too much he said 'well, everything looks good except that weight you've put on'... I've only gained 10 pounds total so far, anyone else had their doctor tell them they have gained too much? I don't feel like it's all that much...it kind of upset me today that he said that... I dunno, maybe it's just me and the hormones? Also---I have to start going to the doctor every 2 weeks now, instead of every 4. Seems like it's going so quick!mandyw0213 -

Ugh! I have to vent... I was helping at my son's school today and a mom asked me if I was having TWINS!! I said, 'No, I'm just big.' Then she asked if I was having a boy or a girl and when I told her I was having my third boy she said, 'oh, that's too bad...' Grrrr, some people are just RUDE!CairnsBasedBliss -

I am getting really tired too. Its so hard to get out of bed in the mornings to go to work.
Yesterday i had an afternoon nap than still had to go to bed at like 10pm and slept for nearly 10hrs. I am blaming it on the severe heat here at the moment. I am Ok until lunch time then i just go down hill and all i can think about is sleep. Ahh!

I am really tired, too - and I think it's pretty normal at this stage of the pregnancy. I'm having a better mid-week than the beginning of this week, tho - on Monday I was thinking there was no WAY I'd make it through the work week!krisjoshjackbaby2 -

All I wanna do is sleep. And I flipped out on my husband yesterday over NOTHING for the first time this pregnancy. I was just mad and crying but I couldn't even tell him why ?! How weird but thank goodness he just let me cool off for a while and then hugged me and told me he loved me. Then I had a headache....ouch.miraclebaby1 -

that is so weird, I just logged on to ask if anyone is still really tired, so yes I am, and have been for a week or so now. I usually have to rest in the am, after I take kids to school, then again after lunch, then again after dinner, then I usually go to bed pretty early, but sometimes I am up 2 times during the night. I wish I didnt feel the need to rest so much, hope everything is normal with this..courtney267 -

shez05 - If you're really freaking out, maybe you could go to the birthing classes with a friend or relative? It really helps to have some idea of what you'll be going through and have a tour of the birthing facility/nursery at the hospital.surprisedat40 -

Pregowith3 - I'd call right away, especially since you've had heart problems. My last pregnancy I thought I was having a heart attack with severe chest pains and shortness of breath, but it was a hiatal hernia (check it out on webmd.com) that went away with a boatload of pepto-bismal. Good luck!heathermarie -

YEA!! Last day in 27 weeks! I am so ready for 3rd trimester! My baby is sitting on my blatter and really low. So when I go to pee (sorry TMI) I have ALOT of pressure in my bottom. I was a little worried about it but I looked it up and its normal. I hope everyone has a great day and see you guys in 28 weeks! :) xxxxxmommyeva -

latina-kelly - I had the same experience! About a half hour after I drank the glucose, I got really sweaty and nauseus, and got really really lightheaded, almost fainted! It's apparently a low sugar reaction. Your body makes to much insulin in response to the large amount of glucose and your sugar levels bottom out. Really makes you fell bad! But at least we can say we don't have GD!mommyeva -

Pregowith3 - if you're still having that, go and get it checked out. Doesn't sound very good!latina-kelly -

Hi ladies, I've just came back from my Dr and I had my glucose test done. It was awful...the drink was ok...it was the after part. I sat there waiting with Dh after I drank the sweet water and then all of a sudden I was slipping from my chair, I felt so weak and sick. Now I'm back at work and I still feel weak, wish I could go home. : (
The good news is that my baby girl is doing well and she's healthly. : )
After a while, they checked my blood and everything is normal. Dr. predicted baby might be born 10 days early, cos she's long. Has anyone else had a similar response or experienced the after effect from the glucose??? sleepyem -

so great reading all the comments!! earthtokailin - my baby's been much quieter the last couple of days too, and it does make me anxious. It's still moving throughout the day just not nearly as vigorous. and more lots of little squirmy things way down in my pelvis. It's done it before though and it's supposed to be completely normal so I try not to panic. man, I've never felt like painful kicks in my ribs or anything yet though! After my next appt at 29wks I'll be starting on the 2 weekly. And yes I sometimes get overwhelmed by the whole thing - birth and having a baby, but I'm sure it's completely natural!! CindyB8470 -

My little girl has been kicking and moving so much lately..I am hurting in my sides, and my private area. Found out today I will be able to have my C-Section on the 5th of Feb. I am looking so forward to having my baby, and bow tying up the tubes so there will not be any more. This baby has really given me a run for my money..I already have two little girls but don't remember if they hurt me this much..LOL..Oh I have a friend that owns a baby store here in Surprise, AZ Baby Kountry and I found our little girls coming home outfit..It is so cute, I can't wait to see her in it..They have a web site babykountry.com..They have some really beautiful things in there for newborns up to about size 6..A must if you love dressing your children up..Pregowith3 -

Don't worry ladies, when it is time to go in you will know, when it is time to feed, bath the baby, ect, you will know. RELAX!! You can never be 100% on top of things or ready. Sometimes that is part of the fun :) I was watching TV in between pushing with my first. It is nothing like the movies.Nikolle -

The babies have their own schedule, don't worry if they aren't performing a circus all day everyday. They need a break. As long as you still feel movement in every 24 hr period they are fine. :)lttl bear -

This is my first too and I am freaked out about the birth. I try not to think about it to much. It's going to happen and I think by then we will be so uncomfortable we will be willing to do anything. At least I hope so. And when that thinking doesn't work I try to think about all the woman who do it and then have more babies. I don't know the whole thing seems so crazy.shez05 -

Hey Ladies! Wow so excited - 27 weeks and starting our 3rd trimester already - time sure does fly...I hope it keeps flying until our little ones are here HeHe! Soooo is it just me or is anyone else just freaking out about having a baby and being in labour?! I mean this is my first pregnancy and I have ready some books and stuff but I am still freaking out...and it doesnt help that DH doesnt wanna go to classes :( So I feel like when I am in labour -I am not gonna have a clue what to do (who do I call, when do I call, what if my water doesnt break and blah blah) I feel like when the time comes I wont know how to change, wash and feed my baby! LOL I have also been feeling really tired latley and my baby loves moving around alot (which is great) but it also like to put it's butt in my rib and that is so uncomfortable - everyone say's 'awwwww that's so cute' and yeah it is but they arnt feeling what I am! Lol Anyways hope you are all well xoearthtokailin -

For the past 2 days, my babies movements have really decreased. I can still feel her sometimes, but she hasn't kicked me or flipped around and she isn't following her normal sleep/awake schedule. I asked someone at work and she said it is just because it is cold outside and that the baby must be cold. Is this possible? I am not cold, I am sweating. And yes it is cold outside, but she is inside my warm body. I am going to call my doctor tomorrow about this but I am worried now.megan5579 -

Does anyone else read the 'Born & Birth stories' every day? I read them almost every day (at least, every weekday)... I think this is where that phrase 'A watched pot never boils' comes into play. I'm making time move SO SLOWLY by obsessing over February!
