If your baby were born now, it would have an 85% chance of surviving. Even though your baby is still not fully developed, she would be well within the limits of premature viability. You still have approximately 13 weeks left of your pregnancy, and during this time your baby must continue to grow and develop. If your baby was born at this time, she would have several complications that would require special attention. Because babies do not have adequate amounts of fat at this time, your baby would have to be kept inside of an incubator for warmth. Because the air sacs in your baby's lungs do not yet have surfactant, she would require an artificial respirator. Your baby's brain, liver and immune system still need to develop more also.

Make sure you take good care of your teeth. So-called `pregnancy gingivitis` affects most pregnant women to some degree, and generally occurs in the second trimester. If you already have gingivitis, the condition is likely to worsen during pregnancy.

I've been getting the pains on the inside, but not really where the leg connects... I keep figuring that it must just be stretching. The other day I was kind of worried though I had gone to a movie and suddenly starting getting super sharp pains and my stomach would feel kind of hard, and a couple times my back felt like it too... but then it eventually stopped... Are those Braxtons? I have no idea, I have yet to read up on those. Too early for that kind of stuff? I'm such a first timer!

Hi ladies, tmi alert... is anyone having pains around their vagina? I have pains on the right side, far over were the leg connects pretty much. It is only when I am standing and walking not while I am sitting. My mom says it is just pressure from the baby. I went to the doc. yesterday and forgot to ask, it wasn't happening yesterday it is off and on. Anyone else with this problem?

I've been leaking for a while now... like weeks... to the point where it's getting my sports bra and half the time I don't even know I'm leaking! I was changing my shirt the other day and my boyfriend was like hey! Looks like you leaked... and sure enough there was a dried up spot on my bra :0P

ps I use stretch mark cream in the am and in the eve... Im not to fond of the idea of purple stretch marks so I figured Ill try my best to help them not come.. anyone else? ideas?

25 pounds at my last checkup... doc didnt say anything. I thought 25 was total gain for pg.. but looks like I will surpass that.. I certainly try to eat healthy. except for all the capncruch cereal. LOL.. baby moves non stop.. its the greatest feeling ever.. I feel really really big tho... and 89 days to go!!! as far a stretch marks.. so far I am lucky... belly is free and clear.

To May-due-in april...my brother's kids are 10months apart and he bought the macclaren double stroller. Its the best, light weight, durable, great quality and stylish. Price ranges b/w 200-400..but check ebay ull get a deal even 4 a new 1!Hope this helps

you can also try piriformis stretches for the sciatic pain... sit up straight in a chair and cross one leg over the other so that the top leg's ankle is over the bottom leg's thigh (your knee should be bent). Then keeping your back straight, lean forward. You should feel the stretch in your butt cheek.

i have the same problem when i told my doctor he said since the baby is putting weight on your muscle in front of your uterus its causing the muscle in the back to contract (where your left butt cheek is). he suggested hamstring stretches. I think it helps: 1. lie on you back and bring you knee to your chest stretching that area. 2. you can also get a partner to assist you in keeping your leg straight out and slightly turned out, then have them bring your leg towards your head and hold when you feel stretching. Hope this helps!

I have a check up in a few hours. We'll see how much more weight I've put on. I really want to keep it under 40lbs, since during my last pregnancy I put on 80lbs! I'm just looking forward to hearing baby's heartbeat again :)

raquelsbaby - Sometimes it can be a sign you have gestational diabetes, but not always. My mom was border line GD with my brother, and my pregnancy seems to be going A LOT like hers with him. I find out here in a week if I am or not. :/

Hello ladies, how's everyone doing? I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a good double stroller? I went to Babies R Us to try some, but there weren't many. I thought I wanted a Graco tandem, but apparently its very bulky - it takes up a lot of space when its folded and it was really hard to open and close. I tried a Baby Trend Sit-N-Stand, and it seemed better... lighter and folds flatter. They have them at Walmart online for 89.00! I have a 13-month old (when my daughter is born he'll be 16 months)... any suggestions?

Thanks for the info Keightlynn! I will have to look into that one :) As far as diabetes goes, gaining weight can happen, but it definitely does not mean you have it. I have type 1 diabetes and lost 50 lbs right before I was diagnosed. If you are extremely thirsty - and I mean EXTREMELY - that is the biggest sign. I would drink gallons of water a day when my sugar was out of control. Fingers crossed that none of you have gd! :)

I have gained 9 pounds so far I was up to 12 and then my last dr's visit they said I lost 3 pounds. I think it is great. They said I only can gain 15 to 25 pounds. So I guess I am doing well. This past week I have been waking up staving. So of course I have been eating. Weird things such as cheese and mustard sandwiches. I gross everyone out. With My son I ate squid and pickles. Yuck. I can't even look or smell sea food with this pregnancy.

im sooo glad that this is the last day on week 27 i swear these weeks are flyin by!! keep 'em comin!! and it seems everyone has gained a good amount of weight so far but..ive only gained 7 lbs from my per pregnancy weight! i started overweight tho and they said not to gain more than 20-25 but im not even near that is 7 lbs ok?? that doesnt seem like much at all (not that im complaining) but jus curious...its also gettin a little harder to breath cuz the baby is movin up....thats all for me tho...see ya ladies!

I have gained 16 pounds so far not too bad the doctor is happy with it. Hopefully I should end up right about 25-27 pounds like my first and it will all come off easy like my first..haha we will see though.

I have gained only 3kgs (which I think is about 6 and half pounds) so far and I am not sure why it isnt more as I havent been sick at all and I am certainly still eating - and not always healthily either! With my other pregancies I gained between 15 and 18 kilos (so 30 pounds plus!)This pregnacny has been VERY different to all the others (5 kids)...

ooooo....i want an electric breast pump...i hate the manual ones...they cramp my hands up....$85 isnt as bad as some of the prices ive seen....at walmart of all places...im going to check into that one...i soo dont want to be manually pumping again o.O

I've gained freaking 40lbs already, and my doctor hasn't even said a word about it. I won't be surprised if I have gestational diabetes.

Kaddy, I registered for the Playtex Petite Double Electric Pump. I think it's $85. My husband's best friend is a manager of a Toy's R Us and he does seminars for employees about pumps, and he told his wife that one was really good (and she told me about it). I haven't used it yet obviously and his wife is also still pregnant, so I can't tell you my personal experience with it.

Is anyone elses baby moving all the time??? As of last week I has gained 25 lbs. I started getting really hungry the past two weeks and all I can do is eat. Honestly I gained 50 lbs btoh pregnancies before this, and I think this is just how my body handles preganancy! It comes off very quickly so I really think its alot of fluid... I hope! LOL

I have gained 22lbs so far and my doctor said he only wants me to gain 30lbs. I wouldn't worry though your weight can really start to fluctuate during these weeks because of the water retention.

So, at my last appointment my doctor said that I have gained 20 pounds so far, and that they only want me to gain 25 - 35 pounds so that I should start watching my weight. I feel healthy but now she has me worried. How much has everyone gained? Am I normal?

I registered at Wal-Mart and Target... mostly just Wal-Mart because they have more reasonable prices usually. I am rather bummed though because a lot of the items I put on it everything went out of stock online practically :0(

I am also having an additional shower for family. we dont have very many baby stores just target wal mart toys r us and baby biz. anybody register online at a store that you dont have locally? I registered at babies r us and www.babyearth.com. I am not registering at Target because they never have any of the things people register for when they go and make a purchase. They have a horrible inventory, at least where I live. I wish I could throw my own baby shower because my family is not organized.

I started my registery at Target.com and added a bunch of stuff online, then went to the store and got the scanner and finished. That saved a LOT of walking around time at the store looking for things.

BOOMERBABY- When you go to register, the store will give you a list of suggested items to register for. You don't have to register for all of them, but it is very helpful. Also, I posted a link to my registries on my profile if you want to see an example of someone's.

Everyone was like 'why so early' and I was tellin them that I had ZERO intentions of setting up a nursery at 38 weeks!!! LOL! YAY the last trimester! :] I've had some bad sciatic nerve, lower back, hip, and pelvic bone pain. I've been seeing a chiropractor but this morning I couldn't even get out of bed to go I hurt so bad :/ jess0402- If your not having any pains or swelling, lucky you!!

i had crazy heartburn with my daughter and she came out with a full head of hair...thats all i could get out of me...she ended up get cut out :(
