If your baby were born now, it would have an 85% chance of surviving. Even though your baby is still not fully developed, she would be well within the limits of premature viability. You still have approximately 13 weeks left of your pregnancy, and during this time your baby must continue to grow and develop. If your baby was born at this time, she would have several complications that would require special attention. Because babies do not have adequate amounts of fat at this time, your baby would have to be kept inside of an incubator for warmth. Because the air sacs in your baby's lungs do not yet have surfactant, she would require an artificial respirator. Your baby's brain, liver and immune system still need to develop more also.

Make sure you take good care of your teeth. So-called `pregnancy gingivitis` affects most pregnant women to some degree, and generally occurs in the second trimester. If you already have gingivitis, the condition is likely to worsen during pregnancy.

I have gained 22lbs so far and my doctor said he only wants me to gain 30lbs. I wouldn't worry though your weight can really start to fluctuate during these weeks because of the water retention.

lil chow: I have gained 32 lbs so far. I am exercising moderately, and trying to watch what I eat, but I don't want to feel hungry either. THEINSIDE JOB: I wouldn't worry about registering for expensive things...many times I have gone in with others to buy a more expensive gift.

Well for me I started out losing 15 or so pounds in the first trimester.. at this point I am still about 5 pounds from where I was before I got pregnant... so gained 10 of the 15 back...

So, at my last appointment my doctor said that I have gained 20 pounds so far, and that they only want me to gain 25 - 35 pounds so that I should start watching my weight. I feel healthy but now she has me worried. How much has everyone gained? Am I normal?

I registered at Wal-Mart and Target... mostly just Wal-Mart because they have more reasonable prices usually. I am rather bummed though because a lot of the items I put on it everything went out of stock online practically :0(

my family just buys stuff they think is useful...which actually helps...they dont really look online and im afraid to ask for expensive stuff...one thing i want is like $130 and its a swing...im iffy on registering...i want to but i feel like im being a bum at the same time...whatever little bit of money i do get for the 5 months i did work this year is going towards my children...im thinking mattresses and some of the bigger stuff i want for the baby...thats if i have enough though :[

I am also having an additional shower for family. we dont have very many baby stores just target wal mart toys r us and baby biz. anybody register online at a store that you dont have locally? I registered at babies r us and www.babyearth.com. I am not registering at Target because they never have any of the things people register for when they go and make a purchase. They have a horrible inventory, at least where I live. I wish I could throw my own baby shower because my family is not organized.

I started my registery at Target.com and added a bunch of stuff online, then went to the store and got the scanner and finished. That saved a LOT of walking around time at the store looking for things.

I registered at Babies R Us and Target last month and already had one shower on the 27th. (Out of state family) My next one is the end of February.
BOOMERBABY- When you go to register, the store will give you a list of suggested items to register for. You don't have to register for all of them, but it is very helpful. Also, I posted a link to my registries on my profile if you want to see an example of someone's.

Housework was a woman's job, but one evening, Jenny arrived home from work to find the children bathed, one load of laundry in the washer and another in the dryer. Dinner was on the stove, and the table set. She was astonished! It turns out that Ralph had read an article that said, 'Wives who work full-time and had to do their own housework were too tired to have sex'. The night went very well. Oh my Gosh! Every night at about 6:00 pm, my belly hurts so much! It's like it so tired from holding up all of this baby weight. By 7:00 pm I have to go to bed and lie down becuase I am so uncomfortable. Then I fall asleep and then I am up at 4:00 or 5:00 am for the day. My little girl is so far up under my rib cage too. I am just thinking that we still have 11-12 more weeks to go and she is going to get bigger an bigger. UGH! I have a prenatal support belt from my last pregnancy, but I didn't have to use it until my last month. I am thiking of dragging it out and using it now!

so im reading all these post about pains and stuff, and i feel her move alot mostllt at night and when i wake up in the am... but i dont have any pains or anything my backs fine, my ribs are fine, i do have a few light conrtractions but they stop.... and its not hurting me just a funny feeling... sooooo do you guys think my babys okay?? i mean i duno maybe something is wrong... i mean im happy im feeling good but why isnt anyone else lol.... i work 5-8 hr shift and feel fine no swelling or anything??? let me know what you think... im kinda concerned now...

My friend's doctor said that she was going to have a nine pound baby 9 and a half tops and they let her go a week and a half late..this was her first and they were going to have her scheduled to be induced but last minute they decided c-section...good thing because they were TOTALLY WRONG!!! 11 pounds 8 ounces!!!!! WOW big o boy!! You know something that really bugs me too.....I am a young mom..I'll be turning 21 in August. I have a few friends my age that just had kids and it's like after they're pregnant they start to party again and it's like their baby doesn't matter! It really bugs me because that's why people look at me bad because I'm so young and people like them give people like me that kind of a reputation. I am so excited to be a mom and do 'motherly' things. My B/F is 26 years old and so I feel like my maturaty is there....i don't know just my thoughts:)

hey girls. so its my sons 2nd bday today. i cant believe it. 2 yrs ago right now i was in the recovery room shivering from the epidural. hehe. then i think i had a fever and threw up. yea. hehe. cant wait to do it all again. i feel totally huge. im still down 8lbs from when i first found out i was preg. but im still 13 lbs heavier than i was 2 yrs ago when i gave birth. weird. anyway, i feel her kicking so low all the time. its crazy. its right into my bladder. sometimes it almost kind of tickles. only once in a while do i feel my whole tummy shake.

Boomerbaby I had a nurse feel me at hospital 2 days before my first was born and she said feels like an eight pounder...my daughter was born 7 pounds 14.5 ounces she was right on it. She was like yep told ya...funny how they can tell through the belly and everything else.

Bartless , Im a week behind you , but I have BH and I feel the tightness low too. My doctor said it was normal , especially getting to close to the end , you will have stronger ones with possible back pain too , Iv been staying off my feet and I have psycho on the water! I drink over a gallon a day....I have noticed a huge relief in the BH , they are less frequent and less intense. Best of luck!

does anyone else feel like they are havin a tightenin feelin EXTREMELY low...i don't know if BH cont. can happen on only the lower half of your uterus...i have had a few BH that tighten up my whole uterus but what i have been feeling lately is just brief tightenin down low...could itjust be baby?

this baby is tearing up the right side of my belly. that's where i've always felt her- only occasionally on the left side and up top. today she has been out of control!!! my poor uterus can't take anymore!!! i just want her to move to the other side and beat up on it for a little bit. i need a break!

no its not it just makes me so nervous I ask my doctor evertime i go in how do you tell how much he is going to weigh with your hands. he says he can always tell and not to worry inducing too early will only raise your chances of a c-sec! hang in there the1miss hopefully we wont have 11 pounders!

Iv always been over weight and had a belly, so the fact that I wasnt really looking much different wasnt really bothering me... but now Im ready to look big pregnant, and Im not! 2 other woman who I know are also pregnant with there first baby, and have the exact same Due date as I... niether one of them were small girls to begin with. They have huge beautifull baby bellys, and Im completly jelous, The baby is growing fine, and is healthy, so I don't understand how I can be SOOO much smaller then these other women...

This week it's been so like anightmare... hormones playing with my mood and I wasn't even up for new years... I think I am missing something but cant figure out what it is... my DH and I quit on the idea of been together... but I think this is what I am missing... I want to be with him and I know that if I do it the next day I will be in such pain that I wouldnt be happy at all worrying about the baby... the pain is in my belly kind of contration... so I hope this 3 months pass on like fasster than I need it to be.. but hopefully I will get out of this ...

My baby changes positions constantly. I will feel her kick way over on the right side and then I will feel her kicking up by my ribs and to the left. Speaking of ribs. Ouch! I had to go to bed at 6:30 last night because she was so high up there and I was getting so sore and I could not get comfortable when sitting. Now I feel like I did 300 sit ups. I hope that today is better.
