You may feel as if you have been pregnant forever at this point. It might be hard to imagine being pregnant for another ten weeks, but your baby still has a lot of growing and developing to do! By this time, your baby's crown-to-rump length is a little over 10.8 inches and the total length of your baby is about 17 inches! Your baby weighs about 3 pounds now. Your uterus can be felt about 4 inches above your bellybutton. Your uterus, baby, placenta and the amount of fluid will get larger over the next ten weeks. You should be gaining about a pound a week at this time.

Because you are getting larger, you are probably becoming slower and clumsier. You should try to be careful to avoid dangerous falls. Good posture when sitting and standing can help you feel better during your pregnancy. You also should be rolling over on your side to get up after lying down because your muscles have stretched to accommodate your growing uterus.

Even though your baby is cushioned by the amniotic fluid, she can feel and respond to pain. Your baby now does `practice breathing` to get ready for life outside of your womb. If you have an ultrasound at this time, you will be able to see this. If your baby swallows amniotic fluid down the wrong passage, she will still get hiccups that are noticeable by you. If your baby were born at this time, she would be able to keep herself warm.

The skin begins to smoothen as fat deposits accumulate underneath. The fat insulates and is an energy source.

Oh and about the name, we have chosen Hendrix. Haven't said it before cause I don't think it's common and when I said I wanted to name my daughter Madison, there was a new Madison in the local births everyday! lol Anyway, my gram in law wants to nick name him Henry! I am soooo mad. So we keep tossing other names in there; but we just don't like any others.

oh, this neighbor has known for 6 years her lights are bothersome. I have complained to the management who have advised her to turn them, I am calling the township tomorrow to see if they have any regulations. I was hoping we would have a house by now and not have to worry about this woman anymore. But since that fell through, we are at stage one looking again. Oh and this woman isn't nice. She leaves her poor dog in her house from 5am til 9 or ten pm! And she doesn't walk him anymore, she just let's him do his thing on her porch! It smells sooo bad!

Sublime- I don't have a name yet either. There are a few that are possibilities but nothing set in stone yet, thats for sure. It is actually starting to stress me out. What if I am early and haven't thought of one so I rush and end up picking something that I don't like? Me and my boyfriend just can't agree on anything and we have been talking about it since I was 10 weeks. hehe, thanks ladies for all your advice about my 'father-in-laws' comment, I even had a bit of a giggle about spreading noses and ice-cream trucks! So thank you, I feel a bit better! In answer to a couple of questions, the father-in-law made the comment to my husband who ended up telling me! He told me not to worry about what other peoples opinions are and to just get over it, but he would never actually stand up for me when it came to his father... I think it's true that men never actually fully 'leave the nest'....

My husband and I have been at the hospital all day doing the childbirth and parenting class and walked out and were hit with the hot, dry heat. I think there's plenty of bushfires around.

So I had my 3d/4d ultrasound today and my baby had her face planted into my placenta the entire time :( The ultrasound tech had me drinking juice, jumping up and down, bending, twisting, poking my belly...and nothing helped :( I go back next Sunday and HOPEFULLY we can see her face. I am just really sad because we were so excited for today. Has anyone else had to go back for a second ultrasound?

Steph, I haven't experienced it but a friend of mine did and her doctor was not concerned either.. as long as there is no cramping. As long as it doesn't get worse, and the doctor is not concerned, I wouldn't worry.

Sorry to vent; but I am so fed up with my neighbor! She is in her late 40's and this is the first time she has ever lived away from her parents. so when she moved in here she put these bright motion lights on her trailer. If I stick my hand out my kitchen window I can practically touch one. I have had to black my daughter's window out since she was a baby because of the light. Last week she woke my DD up 3 times during the school week at 4:30am. So tonight the loon goes to bed at 7pm and leaves the lights on! It is like it is high noon in my house all night! So here's my plan.... I'm buying one of those bright lights boys use to spot deer and I'm going to wake her up at all hour shining it in her window. I don't care if I am being childish, she has done this for 6 years to me. And I won't have another baby woken up because she is too rude. Am I just being prego crazy?

Also to day i went to target and got some travel size things for my over night bag when the big day comes!!! I hopes this helps some of you---I picked up facial wash, deodorant, antibacterial hand wipes (for my guest), pads, lotion, and solution for my contacts. these items are small and easy to pack in a cosmetic bag--i hate having alot of stuff with me, i feel less anxiety knowing that everything is packed in one little bag An im not sure if your hubbys are all packed, but maybe you should pack his things when you get time (if he is anything like mines, packing a bag is the last thing on his mind, JERKS lol)

spreading nose is a preggy symptom usually because our face gets puffy/chubby and of course that effects our nose. I have heard of a spreading nose and I know for me I never realize how chubby my face gets when im pregnant until I look back at preggy pics of myself after I have lost all my weight... TO me face weight gain is my biggest peeve with pregnancy. But the 'glow'... I dont understand what that even means...

I hear ya! My LO is under my ribs at this very moment and i almost took a picture earlier..... my stomach was completely lopsided like he was curled up in a ball on my right side, it was almost disturbing looking. The left side of my tummy was almost flat! And, of course, his feet were shoved up under my ribs then too. I love feeling him and know I will miss it so much, but I can't wait to have him here and snuggle him!

Aint that the truth!!! No matter how hard some of them may try, men can NOT possibly understand! I've always had a tremendous amount of respect for pregnant women, but honestly until I got pregnant...I had NO CLUE what us women go through!! It is a beautiful, amazing gift, I get that (I don't want to sound all negative) but It's not fun! The only thing about pregnancy that I enjoy is feeling the little one move around in there.. but even that starts to get to you when you're getting kicked in the ribs!

ashsmum~ I'm sorry, but what an ass! Men cannot possibly comprehend what it is like to be pregnant and he should keep his opinions to himself. I'm sorry you are uncomfortable, don't let what he said get to you. I have a funny story about being pregnant and having to chase after a little one. My oldest, Samantha, was 3 when my youngest daughter,Emma, was born. Emma was born in summer and ice cream trucks would drive through our neighborhood a couple times a day. Samantha absolutely loved getting ice cream from them. One day I am laying on the couch and Samantha heard the music from the ice cream truck.. she unlocked the front door and was out and running down the sidewalk before I could even get off the couch. I chased her but caught up to her only when i reached the ice cream truck where she was standing. He yelled at me and told me to watch my child better. I was 9 MONTHS PREGNANT!!! I was just seconds behind her. i was dilated to 3 centimeters with the baby's head engaged for 3 weeks for god's sake. All I could do was laugh! Needless to say, i didn't buy her ice cream on that particular instance, and I installed a latch at the top of the door that she couldn't reach haha!

Either way, I would tell your husband that he needs to talk to his daddy about keeping his mouth shut. That wasn't an appropriate comment. He should have thought more for your feelings, but I'm sure in the past when he went to weddings his wife took care of the kids and it wasn't a big deal to him to have the kids there. Yea week 30!! I am so sick of being prego for real. I can't pick things up as easily and with a 7 yr old, 3 cats and 3 dogs there is always something I need to pick up! I have to use my toes! Mostly I can't wait to give birth so the morning sickness goes away! I don't really sleep much and if I nap during the day I'm up all night. but I am laughing cause as I'm typing he's kicking my arm on my belly and my hand keeps moving to the wrong keys. I am ready for baby! Hope everyone is feeling good today!

Hi Ladies! Just needing to vent... been having a few probs with the expectent bub, the usual, everything hurts, low iron, high blood pressure, pre-natal depression, been told by the docs that I need to take it easy cause bubs already in position to be born, which is hard with a 2yr old! We have my sister-in-laws wedding a week before X-mas and decided to leave our daughter with my parents as my husband is the mc, so it will be up to me to chase her around all night, which I am finding impossible to do at the moment. Told the father-in-law last night about this and he says that all children should be involved in weddings, and if I can't handle kids, then I shouldn't have had any!! Both these babies weren't planned and were miracle babies cause I was told I couldn't have any, but he has made me feel guilty for having children! Do I have everyright to be 'devasted' by that comment? Or am I over reacting?? I want to say something to my mother-in-law about it... or should I keep quiet?? Thanks for listening!

I'm actually not tired of being pregnant(even tho I complain about the bad sleep and the butt in my ribs!). I waited so long to get pregnant, and expect this will be my only one, that I'm finding it pretty easy to just enjoy where I am each day. It's still going really fast, though. I do want to meet my little guy, but all in good time. :-) Now, I *am* tired of having to think about and do things unrelated to my baby. I want all of *those* things to stop already, lol!

cantwait, I personally feel it's very important to have a dr I can depend on. If he doesn't have time for you now, will he have time when you go into labor? If I were you, I'd go to the other dr. Your dr can transfer your records, scans etc, so your new dr can catch up.

NEED YOUR OPINION MOMMIES: SO, I have been going to my OBGYN for about 6 years now. This is my first pregnancy. Well, he has cancelled about 5 appointments for my last 2 scheduled prenatal appointments. I am on an every 2 week rotation now. Well, they called and cancelled again today, but won't take my call to try to reschedule until Monday. ALSO, I loved my Dr, but he is in such a hurry these days and gets a little aggrivated if my hubby or I have questions to ask. He is wanting to be in and right out of the room! I am wanting to switch to another OBGYN that I have been to and I LOVED HER! I know several people that go to her and have no complaints and she was great when I went! SO, is it too late in the game to switch over?????
