Your child will most likely show an interest in other special adults. Of course, you are still your child's number one, but other adults that are special to her make her world interesting, special and fun. Encourage your child to develop strong relationships with grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends and other special adults. Your child needs these special relationships and every one of those people has something different that they can teach your child.

Your child can probably say his full name well now. Language is quickly developing and your child is learning about fifty new words each and every month. Your child is able to make four or five word sentences. Rather than speaking in third person, your child now says `I` instead of his name when he is talking about himself.

Have you noticed that your little one is beginning to tell fibs? Your child is beginning to learn the difference between reality and make-beleive. Sometimes this may come across as lying. Although your child does not realize he is lying and often makes up things that are not correct, he needs you to teach him right from wrong. When your child tells you something that is not true, make sure understands that he is telling a story. Tell him that you do not like when he tells you things that are not true and avoid calling him a liar.

Your child has probably had a developmental assessment to check his development. Assessments compare your child's level of developmental achievement with other children of similar age and abilities. Even though each child is different, young children learn and develop new skills at approximately the same age. Assessments allow you and your child's doctor to recognize problems early and treat them early. Gross motor and fine motor skills will be assessed, as will self-help skills, social, emotional, cognitive and language development.

Even young children can begin helping around the house. Give your child responsiblities and simple chores that he can accomplish on his own. Your child is capable of putting his own toys away, putting dirty clothes in the hamper, unloading clothes from the dryer, unpacking and putting away unbreakable groceries, dusting, setting the table and making his bed. Let your child help you sort the laundry into whites vs. colored clothes. You can also let your child help with simple dinner preparation and gardening.

mm- that stinks!! my kids are like that too, we don't even bother with the older kids i know if they are sick until we say they can sleep with us (on the floor) they wont stop! and with ragan she wont come out of her room she will just wake up constantly crying and each time i go in there... sickies suck!! im sick right now and just counting down the hours till rick comes home T-minus 30 hrs!!

What a night. I went to bed at 7:30 followed by Quinten coming in at 7:40. I took him back to bed at least 6 times and then gave up. He slept with us. All 3 of us where either coughing, snoring, hot, cold and grumpy all night. I didn't really get any sleep. I'm only here at work because I already knew there was no one available to cover for me. Hopefully it will be slow after lunch and I can go home.

omg so exhausted right now! my sis and my bestfriend came over last night to keep me company and i didnt go to bed until midnight! at 430am my eyes flashed open and i couldnt go back to sleep! to top it off my cold is here with a vengance and i have a stuffed nose and horrible headache... i'm already thinking about ragan's nap time so i can lay down!

yeah im not feelin so hot right now, slight headache stuffy nose and just exhausted but i cant tell if its from the melatonin i took last night... drinking a strong cup of black tea right now to see if it helps

I can't get off tomorrow and I'm really bummed that David will get to stay home with him. I have vacation days so when I take off, I still get paid. David won't. Mom said she'll take him but that's not going to work with being sick now. Her doc appt to see if the lotion stuff did anything (we can't tell a difference) is today and she thinks she's taking Quinten to it too. David is going to get him beforehand. I want to cuddle with my sick baby!
