Maximus is (and means) great! I`m thinking of calling my son that, but there are many variations on max (Maxwell, Maxen etc.). Prime, at first I thought it was yr last name, that`s why I said `I like it`. Europeans are not as keen on second names as Americans are, so I would drop Prime as second name.

Hey ladies, thanks for you comments. I honestly hate it. I was the one coming up with all the names he could be teased with. No offense to anyone whose husband, father, brother, child is named Max but to me it sounds like a dog`s name, come here Max, etc. or Maxi Pad, and my friend`s fiance came up with What time is it? Prime time! So this can go all sorts of ways. I`m hoping for a boy, but the name thing is going to be under discussion until we can come up with a compromise. Actually, I think the transformer`s name is Optimus Prime. Maximus was a Roman gladiator...

Ok, I am completely oppisite. I Like it, so does my husband. It cracked me up but it grows on you. As far as the `mean kids` you could name him Michael Anthony, they would find something pick on him about. Do you like it? If so go for it. If not come together and find a new name.

Your poor son will be tortured for life! Do you really want to name him after a transformer robot from space?! I don`t think he would ever forgive you, especially once he is grown up.
