luckyrose (616.8 days ago) This sounds like high blood pressure but could also be a-typical migraine. Talk to your dr ASAP.
stylist.mommy(team blue) (618.1 days ago) My bp the last 2x I went to the dr were 142/90 and 146/90 and my ob just told me it was high and did nothing about it. Now I am 17 weeks and my face, ankles, feet & hands have begun to swell to the point that everything hurts because its swollen so badly. When I called they just said drink water and put my feet up. Its a bit ridiculous to me that they are doing nothing. Let me know what you find out!
EmmaReed84 (620 days ago) I actually do have high blood pressure becuase of Kidney problems. Generally its more the bottom number that is a concern and usually if it goes above 90 (in `normal` women) Mine was 167/118 at its highest point. If you do have ANY concerns speak to your doc, if they think you are in any kind of risk you may be given BP meds to help control it. Always be on the safe side better to go to the docs 100 times for nothing then not go and it be something xxx
mommymachine (620.3 days ago) As soon as I mentioned a headache with climbing blood pressure with one of my pregnancies, I was put into the hospital for a week until the medication kicked in. My obgyn takes headaches very seriously and I have been induced 3 times because of hypertension. Last pregnancy I went for ultrasounds every two weeks because your placenta is more likely to grow old faster with hypertension. It`s insanely serious.
turtlefur (620.3 days ago) you`re approaching hypertension. The number by itself is still in `high normal` however for you...it indicates a climb from YOUR normal...& if left untreated or if you don`t institute any lifestyle changes, it could just continue to climb until it finally becomes a number that falls outside of `normal`. your headaches can be caused by this current value because your body and brain aren`t used to operating at these numbers. change docs...i would....p.s i`m a critical care RN
xolilangel785 (620.4 days ago) I`ve had some high readings and I just asked my dr about what it should be because I;ve been taking my blood pressure at home. She said that normal blood pressure if 120/80 BUT in pregnancy they will look at what YOUR normal blood pressure has been and once it starts getting high they get some concern. And yes it is more the bottom or second number that is a concern. She said once it gets over 80 than they will monitor it more closely. It does sound like your blood pressure is starting to get higher and the symptoms you are having are symptoms they told me to look for in high blood pressure. I think you should call your OB and tell them the symptoms you are having... if they dont seem to think anything of it than I don`t think it would hurt to head over to labor and delivery and have them check your blood pressure. I had to do the 24 hr urine test one time when my bottom number was 83 but so far I haven`t had any protein in my urine. They should be checking your urine each time to make sure you don`t have protein in it. Good luck hun!
canadababy (620.4 days ago) That sounds high to me... I think it`s more the second number you`re worrying about though, as opposed to the first, I was sent over for fetal monitoring when my 2nd number hit 90 :) (I`m normally 100/60 and I went up to 120/90)
