I`ve thought about that before, too. All three of mine began in the middle of the night. It seems more common for some reason

Allynne, no contractions at all. They decided to give me pitocin because I lost so much of my water that he kept lying on his cord, and his heart rate dropped. The gave me a a ipc (cath in my uterus to pump saline fluid for baby)...after inserting that they couldn`t let me go on my own because if risks of infection. Made me a little sad because I wanted a natural birth, but he`s healthy so I`m happy:)

Middle of the day. 3:30pm with my 1st. The second time my contractions started at 10:30am.

I started get contractions at 7am, headed to the hospital at 5pm, and my son was born at 1:36am

Blessed: did they show contractions on the monitor or were there no contractions what-so-ever? Because if there were contractions but you weren`t feeling them why would they give you pitocin so early in the game?

When do you consider going into labor??? My water broke at 3:30am but contractions didn`t start (the ones I felt. The monitor said I was having contractions but I didn`t feel those) until 8am.

Both times my early labour contractions started in the early hours of the morning (let`s say, between one am and 5 am). Despite being in early labour, I was still induced with my 2nd (early labour started the morning of my induction date).

With my oldest, contractions started around 4pm, wasn`t admitted until midnight. With my youngest, my water broke at noon, contractions never started on their own so I was given pitocin to bring on hard labor around 4pm.
