Does anybody have an experience with people having opinions on the fact you`re pregnant/the number of children you have? I`ve told my mum I`m pregnant, but shes supportive/understanding regardless - though she lives 300 miles away and I havent laid eyes on her for 3 years... However, my dad on the otherhand is a different kettle of fish. I basically haven`t followed the path that he had thought I would/should (though my sister has) and this my pregnancy is going to cause uproar.. `Do you know what you`re doing, what you`ve let yourself in for?` he`ll say, to which I`ll reply `I`m nearly 30 years old and I`ve done this three times before, of course I realise the commitment, the sleepless nights, the cost of nappies` ETC.. but then he`ll probably be quite snide about it and make snarky remarks (he doesn`t like my partner, but that`s becuase he disapproved of me leaving my now ex-husband (and father to two of my three children).. Y`know, I wouldn`t mind so much if the man did anything for me? But he does nothing - he lives 10 minutes away and rarely sees his grandkids (christmas is a dead cert) but if there`s a football match on their birthday, or it`s held on a Saturday and he`s going out that night - or worse, BOTH - it takes priority over my kids birthdays.. I don`t loan money off him, he and his new wife never watch my kids, or have to take me anywhere, I never ask him too fix anything - I literally ask him or expect ~NOTHING of him, yet he`ll see fit to tell me what a mess I`m making of my life and it bothers me massively.. he wasn`t happy about my 3rd pregnancy with his prodigal son-in-law, so I can imagine this announcement will go down like a lead balloon. Anybody ever just NOT told someone they were expecting until you actually gave birth or were so huge, on one of their visits, they couldn`t help but notice? I think that`s what I`m going to do.. Seriously..

So, I just confirmed for sure (with digital) that I`m pregnant with my 4th child - some of you may remember my poll about having children by multiple fathers? Well, Sod`s Law, I should find myself pregnant 2 weeks later! ANYWAY, for people with 4 children, how did you find the transition to 4? I`m due in January 2014 - which is a blessing as my eldest will be 11, my middle will be nearly 5 and in full time school and my daughter will be 3.5 and will be in nursery 21 hours a week - I`m still a bit scared though!!! 4 children!! I only live in a 3 bed house and the rents and availability for bed houses are exorbitant and exceptionally hard to find! Also, for women who`ve had multiple c-sections (this will be my second) what`s pregnancy like after an initial section? I am so scared it`s going to be painful as scars stretch and I`m even more scared about uterine rupture :`( Any and all experiences/annecdotes welcome...

i need some advice on trying to get my husband and mother in law to help me around the house (we are staying with her till she owns her house due to some weird tribal law saying two people have to live in the house till its owend) they both work desk jobs 4 to 5 days a week 8 hours a day and i work in a nursing home doing laundry 3 to 4 days a week 9 to sometimes 12 hours a day and i come home sometimes at 5 in the morning to a trashed house we havent been living with her for very long and im most deffinitaly not used to living like this, growing up my mother, grandmothers and even my aunts we`re emaculate house keeping career moms and the houses always stayed clean and still do and everyone had their daily chores to keep the house clean. he and his mom spend almost everyday after work just sitting around the house watching t.v . and eating. by no means do i want be rude but theres just no way i can keep doing all this on my own, his mother started buying paper plates when i go visit my family everyother weekend so that she doesnt have to do dishes! they both leave their clothes all over the bathroom and laundry room floor and the mail they just throw it where ever and i do mean where ever and 3 garbage cans`so we dont have to take the garbage out as much` taking the garbage out invoilves taking three steps out of the front door and putting in the cans outside. i`m going insane! what do i do????

Peeved about something: I was at the library with the kids holding my sleeping baby and overheard the librarian training a new employee. She was talking about the teacher book reservations. She said ` Now, sometimes we get teachers requesting things not appropriate for their classes. Every year we have preschool teachers asking for books about (insert name of our state.) Since we know preschoolers are too little to even know what a state is, we just tell them the books have already been reserved. That way they can be available in case a teacher of an older grade calls. You just have to use your own discretion. ` I was a bit shocked! Our developmentally delayed preschool works on standards given by the state and there is a social studies until about where we live!
