My sister is 19 weeks pregnant and went to the hospital for severe stomach pain to find out that she has apendicitis (sp?) and has to have immediate surgery. We are freaked out because of the risks to the baby and premature labor. Has anyone ever gone through this, or known someone who has? If so, was mom and baby okay, or were there complications? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I think my daughter is spoiled rotten. She threw a fit (screaming BUT I WANTED IT) because I gave my son`s bumbo chair away to an expectant mother instead of giving it to her or letting her keep it. She liked sitting in it but she is FIVE. She has her own child sized chair. She gets almost everything she asks for on holidays and Bday. Not everything, but most things. Yet she threw a fit over not getting a baby thing. Did I mention her fit was two hours long? What do I do to fix it? We give consequences and time outs and all that. She doesn`t behave like this all the time but she does occasionally and I feel she is way too old. She is still upset and not speaking to me.

Does your kid run funny? I noticed today my 3 year old runs with a pretty noticable limp on his left leg. It looks like his thigh hurts him. I asked him if his legs were okay and he pointed to a scratch on his shin. I know that isn`t making it hurt. Is this normal or did he probably hurt his leg.

Have any of you experienced your child coming to you with a particular worry that won`t go away? My son is turning 5 next week, and he has been coming to me with a worry for the last few weeks, it regards death. He says `Mommy I wish I couldn`t die` and we have spoken about it openly with him, and let him lead the conversation, and tried to ease his mind etc, but he still brings it up a few times a day every day. Sometimes he seems to want to discuss it, other times he will say that sentence and then when we begin to address it he asks something a lot less serious like `Can I have an ice-cream?` When he changes the subject randomly like that we just let it be changed and we don`t try to harp on about his worry. I am just concerned that he keeps bringing it up and we are not religious so we have no comforting story to tell him. Has anyone experienced their young child worrying like this repetitively? Please comment

After my first pregnancy, my skin snapped (almost) back to where it was before. But after this pregnancy, my bellybutton area still looks like an elephant`s knee! Do you have sagging bellybutton skin after your pregnancies?

I`m remodeling our kitchen: If you have a dishwasher do you have a drain board too? My kids are 3 and 4- there are no more bottles, baby spoons, etc. just regular stuff.

Hey ladies this is blessed 3x if you remember me. I just created a new account after being gone for a while! My question is this... I want to plant some bushes but do not know where to begin!! It`s a raised flower bed type thing that is up against the front of my house. It gets alot of shade, and a few hours of sun a day. I need something that doesn`t get huge in size, and that looks pretty year round. TIA, and great to be back!!

I AM SO GLAD we have our MANLY pit bull tough dog. The meter reader scared the crap out of me . He was in our back yard tinkering with meter related things. He said he didn`t know anyone was home or he would have knocked. My husband`s pit bull was back there begging for pats and he was patting her and scratching her ears. She never barked or anything. she has also let people steal our lawnmower and a tool box. Don`t get me wrong, glad she is nice to the meter reader and all, but she is the worst guard dog ever.What about your dog?

We`re moving. I have no idea which moving company to use. Last time we moved, we rented a U-Haul. Now we have kids, and I just don`t see us watching a toddler and moving heavy furniture around..... What is your favorite moving company on the North American continent?
