need ideas on what to get my DS for his first birthday,.. mind you christmas was only a couple weeks ago and he got MORE than what he wanted. he also has two big brothers that have every hand-me-down imaginable. looking for new, useful, functional, practical items that would be helpful with a one year old. How do you handle breastfeeding with an older child? My son is 7. He has never seen a breast before. He knows that this is how babies eat though. Idk how comfortable I am feeding in front of him. I understand its a beautiful thing, nothing to be ashamed of, but idk it seems weird. Any opinions?

need advice on weening.... DS will be 1 in 14 days and still nurses 3-4 times a day and then several times during the night! my two other DS stopped nursing at or before a year on their own but this little guy seems to be rolling with it, however i have noticed my milk supply is not as abundant as it was even a month ago. at this point im ready to ween. any tips would be greatly appreciated! ready to get my body back in 2013, including being able to call my boobs MINE again LOL!

I`m all for attachment parenting, except co-sleeping. This wouldn`t be a problem if DS (17 weeks) were able to sleep on his own. He literally wakes the instant he is put down and will roar until he is picked up again. Any suggestions on how to teach him to sleep on his own? Or do I just have to accept that he seems to need to sleep with us for now? More info inside.

Have you drastically changed your parenting style from one baby to the next? E.g. very strong feelings for a particular method of feeding, discipline, routine etc that you did not have such convictions for previously.

Should I buy my son one more gift?? I have a 2 year old boy and a 4 year old girl- they are getting a doll house with complete furniture, a train set complete that are both opened and set up. THey also 7 gifts that will be wrapped and under the tree. I have one less for my son. Not sure if I should go pick him out something else to keep the count even. I don`t know what else to get him-should i get him something else- if so what??

Is it normal for a 2 year old (turning 2 in 2 days) to have loose stools most of the time? My son rarely has a clumpy stool. We think it`s from him eating as much as he does, but what do you think? He has always been this way and the gastroenterology tests came back normal, btw.

Should I be concerned? My son is, yet again, in the 5th %tile for both height AND weight (he has never been that low on weight, but has been for height). He is turning 2 in a few short days. I thought we had dodged the bullet because he was in like the 30th %tile finally but at his last WIC appt they told my husband he`s in the 5th again =/

I`ve done this poll before, ages ago, but am curious to see from some newcomers and such.... :) My first baby (a girl) was 7 lb. My second baby (a boy) was 9 lb 6 and a half oz at birth. From experience, was your third bigger or smaller then your second, and by how much?

My 22 month old son is not exactly talking yet... I am starting to get worried! He says small things, like nana(sweet), shoe, bug, shakes his head for no, but as far as I can tell, that is about it... He`ll say mama randomly as well. I am soo worried that my son is falling behind. Family of ours also have a 22 month old and he is talking up a storm! And more and more every day. Do I take my son to get evaluated? What do I do? Should I be freaking out at this stage? Please ladies, any advise would be wonderful. He understands and reacts to most of what I say (obviously some things not), but all in all, he does - he`s just not talking!

my breastfed baby weighed 8lbs and 6oz and birth. now at 7 weeks he is 14 lbs 5 oz. He gains a little under a pound a week on average. do you think that could be a symptom of something or a cause to his tummy problems? or is it normal?

Christmas ideas for 2 1/2 year old son. We got my daugther the tag reading system as a Christmas gift and need to get my son something similar. I`m not impressed with Tag Junior and would like it to be an educational toy. He has a leapster explorer already and want this gift to really be for him and not something both kids will play with. thanks!!!!

anyone have doctors diagnose baby with breastmilk intolerance? were you given a chance to try an elimination diet or was it ` you baby has a breast milk intolerance, switch to formula` period.
