lorilou (381.2 days ago)They think that there is a link between autism and ADHD and mercury. If I were you I would talk to my doctor about getting vaccines that don`t have mercury in them. I know some of them are made without it. Just a thought. I am learning about this in my special education classes.
summerisis (383.3 days ago)Legally, they cannot restrict your child from attending school due to vaccinations. You can use your religion as a reason not to vaccinate. Christian Scientists do it all the time.
noel (383.5 days ago)I also attended school in a county where certain vaccinations were mandatory. A student could not be enrolled without them. I personally had to have a round of vaccinations at the age of 4 so that I could go to school. It may be better to wait until they are older to get some of the vaccinations that are mandatory for school.
caitlin h (383.6 days ago)Haha, i was thinking about making a poll for this myself- must be on all our minds after the Oprah show! :) I am planning on breaking up the vaccine schedule- like only letting them do half at a time, and starting at 3 months instead of 2 months to give my little guy a little extra growth. It will mean some extra trips in to the doctor for more vaccines, but I think it is worth it.
megananne (383.6 days ago)I am a special education teacher and work at an autism society. Not all of the vaccines contain thermisol~ so that is something you may want to look at. I will not be giving all of the vaccines to my child but will break up the shot schedule (1 a month) and will not allow him to have any of the shots that contain thermisol. In regards to the school not allowing your child to attend- that is false. You have the right to fill out a waiver that states you are against vaccines. It is a parents choice- I would look further into the subject before you consider banning all vaccines.
marinemama (383.6 days ago)If you donot vaccinate your child , they will not allow them into the school system. I have had 3 kids and one on the way and , yes I agree they are a risk, but the diseases are much worst...
leahs (383.6 days ago)I had worries because babies get their vaccines at the same age,but my daughter was in the 4th percentile for weight,I personally think they should go by babies weight instead of months old. But I never had a question of not vaccinating, where I live you can not have your child attend preschool, daycare or any group sports (boyscouts/baseball etc) unless they are vaccinated.
JenYancey (383.6 days ago)Please let me know the name of the books you are reading! I am so worried that I may allow something that will harm my baby more than help! Thank you!
SaraU80 (383.6 days ago)My son was vaccinated for most of the regular stuff, though not for chicken pox. My pediatrician is the same pediatrician that I went to for most of my childhood, and I trust her. My second, due Oct.12, will probably have the same vaccinations. Did you catch the Oprah on recently with Jenny McCarthy? I agree with what she said about vaccinations- by and large they are good, but they are not a one-size-fits all sort of thing. Her son is `recovering` from autism that she believes he got from the MMR vaccine. It was amazing to see her son`s progress, though! There is hope for autism!
Sorry this was so long. I have a big mouth!
eCCAbOO (383.6 days ago)i plan to vaccinate only doing a few of the suggested 36 that are currently being given. and not before my child is 2yrs old. i can`t believe some of the chemicals and toxins they put in the vaccines. i know some are necessary, but come on, a vaccine for chicken pox?
