Who is throwing the Shower? Is your family offering to do this? Is it your friends or is it you? It`s really tacky to throw a shower for yourself and it`s especially tacky if you invite people that you don`t get along with, just to receive presents. Assuming that your family is offering to treat you to a shower, I say politely oblige them. If your friends are throwing the shower, maybe you should enjoy your day with your friends and not invite your family (since you don`t particularly like them anyway). And if you are considering throwin the Shower for yourself, then I`d reconsider because that`s just tacky. Good luck. Congrats on your goth baby and patient boyfriend. Sometimes I wonder why my hubby tolerates me!

I think you should. Extend the invitation to them and if they don`t come it`s on their shoulders.

you may be surprised, their attitude or your energy might change now that your pregnant - let them spoil you!

If they offer it would be rude to say no.
