I went natural w/my son - I`m not against drugs or anything, but I wanted to just try it without. My menstrual cramps were always extremely painful and I got used to blocking out the pain as much as I could, so when it came time for labor I was able to block out the pain a bit better. I think that if you want to go natural, you should go for it - but have a clear idea of how you`re going to manage the pain. They gave me an oxygen mask and I took deep breaths, closed my eyes, and had my partner and my mom rubbing my head, back, arms. If the labor would have gotten too long, I probably would have taken something to take the edge off. Best wishes!
