Cindy.Nov28`s poll Show results | Hide results

Pregnancy-poll poll Have you used medication for a yeast infection during the last trimester? The dr`s say it`s safe, but it seems so unnatural. Not sure what to do, because it also shouldn`t go untreated.
(Pregnancy poll by Cindy.Nov28, 335 days ago)
yes, I've used it. It's safe.
No, I wouldn't use it in the third trimester.

I think it would be more unsafe for the baby for it to go untreated. I know some infections can cause you to go into labor early. I`d do what your doctor says.

your ob should be called and he will call a scrip in for you..

Caniston cream is safe to use... The yogart trick also helps if you put in on `the effected area` should we call it!

My doctor told me to use Monistat and no other over the counter product. However, if you are really really uncomfortable using any medication, try eating yogourt, and lots of it, as the acidophilus will restore your body`s natural balance of `good` and `bad` yeast.

I`m not sure if I had a yeast infection or not, but I really itched down there bad about 2 weeks ago. I didnt feel comfortable using the actual Monistat applicator inside even the doctor recommended it to me at my last appt if I get a yeast infection, but I used the exterior itch cream that comes with the pack and it really made me feel better.
