Samara.`s poll Show results | Hide results

Pregnancy-poll poll Okay I know this sounds really stupid but I`m terrified of the placenta comeing out. I think mainly because I`ve seen births before like on TV nad stuff but never the placenta coming out so I`m really freaked out. What does it feel like?
(Pregnancy poll by Samara., 368 days ago)
It hurts!
You really can't feel it after the baby comes.
You don't feel anything.
You just feel slight pressure

I didn`t feel anything. My doctor just asked me to push and it came out and it was painless. I didn`t even have an epidural either.

The doctor asked me to give a little push and I could hardly feel a thing..it was easy, painless and took two seconds to pass.

I already commented, but I`ll comment again :) I didn`t have an epidural, and I didn`t feel it come out. The only thing that hurt when they were getting it out was when they pressed on my stomach for like 10 minutes...but it is shortly forgotten!

Most say it doesn`t hurt. Thats why you don`t hear more people talking about it and telling you horror stories about it.

lmao @ aliciaH be sure to remind my doctor that i dont want to see it! my mom had a natural delivery and she said it hurt worst then the baby... but my aunt had an epidural and she didnt feel it

AliciaH (367.5 days ago)
I don`t even remember it coming out with my first! I just remember the doctor holding it up and showing it to me and I remember thinking that I could have gone my whole life without ever seeing it! LOL

After I have givin birth my doctor will massage my tummy, i`m guessing to kinda help it detatch from the uterus wall. But anyways to me it just feels like it slides out, and you will be so involved with the new baby that you probably won`t even notice! It`s really no big deal at all!!! And to be quite honest the massage on the tummy hurts worse then the placenta coming out!!!

Not trying to freak you out but I swear my placenta was worse than the baby. The doctor didn`t have me push it out instead it felt as if he ripped it out of me... I forgot all about it so I didn`t have a clue as to what was going on.

I think I`d be more worried about the baby coming out. LOl

my midwife massaged my belly to get the placenta out, i found it felt like a warm, slimy sensation. didn`t hurt at all

Ady-and-Maylies-Momma (367.7 days ago)
They had trouble getting my placenta out, so I tore a little somehow. That`s not too common though. As for feeling, you can`t feel it (and by then it will be the least of your worries because you`ll be too wrapped up in baby!) they`ll be pressing on your stomach though...but nothing bad! Good luck!

Vaginally nothing. They squeeze down on your stomach quite a bit. Trust me it is nothing to be worried about.

  5. i found a lump on Grace`s thigh a couple days ago, and it didnt bother her then for me to feel around for it but today when i felt for it she didn`t like me to touch it. i know that sometimes with shots a baby can get a lump where the shot was done but she hasn`t had shots since she was six months. i know that it wasn`t there before because i rub her down with lotion almost everyday. i am going to the ergent care clinic tomorrow because i am concerned but i am scared that i am thinking all this horrible stuff for no reason. should i be worried or could it just be from the shots???

  6. *Strech Marks* - Today i posted this photo, and struggled doing it. I have been crying all day about my tummy, and it could be hormones but i dont feel attractive anymore.
