I would consider my childrens wants.. Of course I would never agree if they wanted to name the child `booger` or anything like that! Maybe use Adam as a middle name? Or as a first name, and let the children choose a middle name that you like?

I dated a guy who`s little sister was named Casey -- which he hated. He hated for at least 8 years. I think a new child is a gift to the family and you should respect your children`s opinion too. It a small gesture to make them feel important. Or I`d pick Adam as the first name and let them pick the middle name (which is what another person that I know did.) The wife let the husband pick the first name but their son picked the middle name. Unfortunately the daughter was named after a dinosaur in a Disney flick but he feels honored that he named her... as does his sister.

i am just making a suggestion here but maybe everyone should write down there 3 most favorite names then have everyone vote or something. that or you and your hubby pick some and have everyone vote..who ever gets the most votes win? that way the whole family is involded

I think they are both nice names, in fact they are two of the names that we are considering, you have good taste! =) As far as your sons go, if they absolutely detest the name adam i would consider a different name. It`s not up to them of course, but it`s nice to let them know their thoughts were considered. I would find out why they hate it so much...maybe they have a mean classmate named adam or something and they don`t have a positive association with the name. Good luck!!! I see your little guy will be coming to the world soon!!
