My1stbaby! (1581.4 days ago) Take him back to his regular Dr or another Dr.
LoriLou (1581.6 days ago) I break out in hives when I inhale certain chemicals such as paint thinner and bleach. My mom always gave me oatmeal baths and treated me like I had chicken pox. I would seriously go to a doctor though. If the hives are bad enough he could have them inside his throat which can cause breathing problems and serious damage. I was taken to the ER once for this. Please let us know what is wrong when you find out. Hives are the body`s way of telling us something is irritating it. Good Luck!
Annie85 (1581.7 days ago) go back to your doctor, since the meds arent really helping maybe he needs a prescription for something else make sue you get all the info from his grandma on wat he touched ate bathed with, anything he came in contact with it will make it easier for them to diagnose the problem and give him the right meds
momofboys (1581.9 days ago) Did you change soap? I would try benadryl oral & the cream for the skin. I would call your pediatrican. Once I showed up at my dr & they squeezed my son in.
srv4lvr (1582 days ago) My sister used to get these when she was little everytime she would get mad... this happened until she was like 3 and the doctor said the same thing Benadryl. I would be concerned as to a food allergy though... has he ate anything different lately or been exposed to anything new?
AliciaH (1582 days ago) I agree with RobinG. I would of at first done Benadryl but it`s obviously not fixing the problem so a follow up is needed with his regular pediatrician.
angel66 (1582 days ago) i have but when does ur regula doctor get back and if not for a while take him to the hospital if it gets worseask ur mom what he ate touched were they were ande if the doctor is on vacation ask the staff there if they can give u his cellphone number incase of amergence
aundrea (1582.1 days ago) I would start weeding out things like bath soap, laundry det,any type of food, grass, pets. There r lots of things that could cause this. Is he on any new meds?
RobinG (1582.1 days ago) Sorry abuot the typos, lol sister called when I was typing and cant edit now, lol.
RobinG (1582.1 days ago) My son is prone to many skin rashes. He gets them often. Teh bendryl in the beginning would be what I would have done and I think the doc was fine in that inital diagnoses but like anything sometimes tings are not as they appear, so a follow up is needed. It sounds like he had a reaction to something, the benedryl would combat that but if you see no change it is probably time to go back. I will say that with my son whenhe gets sick he gets a rash, insect bites a rash, fevers a rash, many things cause a rash and for him it can take a number of days to clearn and on a few occassions a few months. Sometimes times if it is viral it can take a while for it to get out of their system. One time it took my son over a year but other then the rash he was healthy as a horse and no problems. Some people just respond differently thing illnesses and some are more prone to rashes like my son. I would take him back for a follow up ((())) I wouldnt feel the first doc was in error but do feel bringing him back to say the benedryl isnt work is a good idea ~
jbbates (1582.1 days ago) How long has this been going on? I would take him to another doctor if yours is not at the office. It could possibly be something else.
