When I was pregnant with my daughter, her heartbeat was always around 156. I`m pregnant for the second time and this baby`s heartbeat is around 150. I don`t know if I`m having a boy or girl though. I`m really hoping it`s a boy...but if the heartbeat thing is accurate then I must be having another girl.

My ultrasound is in 2 weeks (Nov 5th). I know the heartbeat isn`t completely accurate.. but hey sometimes it works.

I asked my doctor about the heart rate thing and if it was true, he said, that it could tell gender ONLY if you listen to the heart rate for several hours, and get an overall reading. That the 15 to 30 seconds they listen to the rate at doctor visits will not tell gender, there are to many factors that come into play, and thats such a sort amount of time, there is no way of telling.

My doctor has said that 140`s are the `boy range`. But I thnk you have to consider the mother`s blood pressure and heartrate. Mine for example is really low, so wouldn`t my baby`s be lower on the scale too???

The heart rate thing is not really accurate. I am having a girl and her heart rate yesterday was 132. When is your ultrasound??

Dont believe the heart rate thing!LOL I had a girl first her heart rate was 170-190 all the time...I am having another girl 3rd child...Her heart rate is 130-140...i was so excited i was gonna be having a boy this time cause my sons was low too!LOL take care!
