That is SO scary. I have an 11 year old son and I`m already paranoid about that kind of stuff. I just want to keep him safe with me forever :(

Frenchie baby is right about the REAL version of after school special. But I think what they were referring to was the joking version of it. There`s actually a few things it could be. They could be actually trying to make him do something, ect. Things like that. Hopefully you get the info you need and I hope this helped.

The after school special over here is adults playing pranks on school kids. For instance, the last one I saw was a Jr high class thought that had a band comp. at another school...made them play a song they never rehearsed, to find out it was all a set up, and they were really there bc a famous singer that was going to perform for them as a reward for all their hard work.

From what I remember (and from I got from Googling it), the After School Specials were TV shows that kids could watch in the afternoon, like around 3pm or so, and they taught moral lessons and dealt with different cultural, social, etc. issues. I think those sick boys were trying to be sarcastic, referring to how if the neighbor`s boy had watched the show he would know not to talk to strangers. I wonder how old these boys were?? Very scary, I`m so glad he`s okay.

An afterschool special is a movie that used to come on a 4:00 every day when I was a kid. They were different movies every day but they all dealt with teaching kids about issues they may deal with like abduction, living with a single parent, bullies etc. The were on after school so kids would have something to watch and learn from. I think they were designed to watch with parents so it would open up communication and parents could explain to kids how to avoid dangerous situations or deal with their problems.
