bebe (1562 days ago) I am pregnant with my fourth baby and this is the first time we found out! I was surprised with the first three and absolutely loved being surprised. I wouldn`t change it! When I first held my babies I didn`t even think of what the sex was until told. It was a truly magical moment and I loved the babies completely just for being babies. This time I wanted to find out just because I feel that there is so much going on in my life right now that I wanted to be able to prepare. And as for all the yellow/green clothes - I got some but after each baby was born I was given more than enough pink and blue (I have one son and two daughters already and am expecting another daughter). I`d say if you`re not sure about finding out, just do what feels best to you. There are advantages to both being surprised and finding out, just do what is best for you! EditDelete
jenjen0506 (1564.4 days ago) i wanna know right away!!! i wanna go to my baby shower knowing the sex so everyone can get clothes. i dont like yellows and greens i rather just have pink or blue! EditDelete
cyb3r0ptik (1565.1 days ago) i hate surprises. i also hate the colour yellow. and i didn`t want all yellow or green. i like ducks for bathrooms, not my kids wardrobe. EditDelete
natalie75 (1565.9 days ago) I will find out on November 13 what I am having. Becoming pregnant was a surprise. I also want to know if I need to buy girl stuff or if alright with all the boy stuff I have. EditDelete
michelle (1566.5 days ago) I know you probally have heard this a thousand times but it is just personal choice.Theres no right or wrong, its what the couple feels right for them. With my first i found out and because he was a boy with my second i found out as i wanted to be prepared. Alot of people think it takes away the suprise at the end but you are suprised you get to see your baby for the first time. It also makes bonding with your bump nicer i think. But those people who choose to wait i think it would be nice also, sharing the moment its a..... would be special. Im pregnant with my 3rd (only 12 and a 1/2 weeks) and this will be our last. My husband wants to know as we already have everything for boy and girl and the last would be nice for a suprise. I think i wont be able to hold off but im going too. I think it be nice for us both to keep this one a suprise. Good luck with everything. EditDelete
alaskanmama (1566.5 days ago) I wanted to know what I was having because I wanted to be completely ready for what I was having. I wanted the room ready and not have a bunch of yellows and greens. I don`t like yellows and greens. I wanted either pinks or obviouse boy clothes. I am having a boy and I don`t for one second wish I would have left it a surprise! As soon as we picked out a name he was no longer known as `the baby` we refer to him by name. Its so much more personal to me! EditDelete
Daydays Mom (1566.6 days ago) i cant wait til i find out. im very impatient and i say that the ones whom are waiting they HAVE POWER cause i cant wait! (unless i have to if it dont corroperate) i go find out dec 3rd! EditDelete
snoopynicole2003 (1566.9 days ago) i found out the baby`s sex (which it is a boy by the way :D ) because it makes for an easy baby shower for me this is my first baby and i need help in getting some things so knowing the sex helped a lot and i feel more of a connection with my baby now that i know the sex instead of calling the baby `it` or just `baby` i can say he is doin good :D EditDelete
pregosharpe (1566.9 days ago) Well I wanted to find out because I am stationed in Alaksa..interior Alaska at that.. we have VERY LITTLE options when it comes to shopping so most of the stuff we buy or have bought whether it be for the baby or ourselves has to come from online stores. Shipping takes forever to get here.. so by knowing what the sex was before birth it was much easier for me to planning accordingly to shop online and what not. I didnt get to find out for sure I was having a girl until almost 30wks. I don`t really see the connection between the analogy given by the lady about the pet, because alot of people have a name they want to give a pet and have wanted to have a dog name `this` ever since they were a kid. Theres nothing wrong with picking out a name before birth and theres nothing wrong with waiting until birth, but I don`t think anyone`s age is a factor in this. EditDelete
naomijane (1566.9 days ago) I foud out and was counting the days to find out and was sooo happy! Now I feel closer to my little man and I can call him a little man! My hubby was super stoked and I swear I saw his eyes well up when we spotted his little `member` up on the u/s screen.... Ill never forget it =]
Plus we can call him by his name!!! EditDelete
gingerclemens (1567 days ago) We arent finding out, but it wasnt my frist choice! my husband and my father actually had to talk me into not finding out, which is making it a little hard to buy things but at the same time i think i am more excited to go through labor so i can hear the doc say `its a ...` so after much debait at first i am happy not knowing.. EditDelete
SarahJane (1567 days ago) We did not want to find out. We also were against having a sonogram unless it was medically indicated by our care giver. So, we`re two weeks away from having our baby and we still have not had an ultrasound and don`t know the sex. I couldn`t be happier! EditDelete
Jo-Mama (1567 days ago) I don`t want to know, and I know that I`m in the minority on this. I really want it to be a surprise. I think it`s more exciting this way. And personally, I hate pink but I love green and orange and yellow.
I figure you only get so many surprises in life and this one will be the best. But that`s just me. EditDelete
kkat32 (1567.1 days ago) I found out with both of my kids.I personally feel more bonded to the baby once I find out what it is.You can actually call the baby he or she or even call them by name if you have chosen. It just feels like you know them a little better. It is also more convenient for shopping. EditDelete
cherryplum143 (1567.1 days ago) I definitely want to know so that i can prepare accordingly. I would rather not have a whole slew of green and yellow stuff. I want to be able to paint the baby`s room either pink or blue and pick out bedding and all that other good stuff. It would be neat to be surprised but in reality I would rather be prepared. It would be harder trying to do it after the baby was born and I know I sure wont feel like it! EditDelete
monica9 (1567.1 days ago) i want to find out b/c i want to be prepared. I really dont want all yellow`s and green`s at my shower. I will most likely NOT find out for my second b/c i most likely wont have a shower nor need anything but clothes! good luck with your choice
