Jeanette`s poll Show results | Hide results

Pregnancy-poll poll I have a two doctors that rotate, and there`s no telling which one will be on call when I`m delivering. I like the female Dr., and I`m really put off by the male Dr. What should I do?

i went my whole 9 months seeing one doc.with my first preg.and when iwent into labor i never once seen him. {i did afterwards} it made me mad at the time but a woman across the hall had her baby 2 min. after me and we had the same doc. kinda hard to be two places at once. i go to the same dr`s office but i`m seeing a new one this time. i talked to him and he explained that it`s like first come first serve. if two lady`s go into labor with the same doc. then who ever is more into it is where he`ll be. and another doc. from the office will take his place. i got to meet all the doc. in the office this time. but yeah it really upset me that a total strager delievered my first. but i also understand now.

Honestly the hospitals were I live you have a nurse or two with you during the pushing phase and the dr. doesn`t even come in until you are crowning,I relied on the nurses way more than the dr.

SAY SOMETHING! Tell the female doctor how you feel. You are paying them to make you feel safe and comfortable. She will tell you if it can be arranged that she do your delivery or not and you can move on from there.

I don`t even expect to see my doctor. I always here about how the Dr. shows up at the last minute to `catch` the baby.
