after my first baby, it was almost as if every period had been saved up- there was so much, but because i breastfed for a year, i didn`t have them for that whole time. i hear though, that the `break` can reduce the risk of breast and uterine cancer, the more children you bf, the less likely you are to suffer from these conditions

You can bleed for 4-6 weeks after giving birth. I bled for 6 weeks with my first pregnancy and I`m still bleeding 3 weeks after giving birth to my second baby. If you choose to breastfeed, it could be a year before you have your period again. I exclusively breastfed my daughter and 10 months after she was born I started having my period again.

I was told after birth it would last up to 4 weeks but mine was gone in less than 2. I exclusively breastfed and started when my daughter was 7 months old. Now I`m pregnant with my third...lol

You don`t get if you exclusively breastfeed.

You can have AF for up to 6 weeks but I always lasted about 2-4 wks. With bf question. You are going to bleed after baby is born but when you start getting your AF normally, breastfeeding can prevent you from having it which is normal.

not really your AF, but its similar, after the first week or 2 it comes and goes

I bled for 4 weeks after my first 2 pregnancies, and 3 weeks after my third. I am breastfeeding my baby (she is 11 weeks now) and I havent had a period yet. I was told that it could take up to a year to have a period because I am breastfeeding.

i have bled for about 6 weeks after all 3 of my babys`. with the breastfeeding and AF topic, i never fed my 1st born as she was premature and was unable to latch on, my 2nd born fed for 11 months and i never had AF that whole time and i think AF came back 14 or 15 months after birth as i breastfed for 16 months and AF showed just short of weaning. (i couldn`t get my son away from my boobs, lol)

Did I forget anything?

  9. Has any one else noticed their sex drive go up in the last trimester? Mine was sky high in the first trimester down to nothing in the second and now that I`m in my third I can`t seem to get enough. Am I the only one?
