Why bother? Your only prego for 9 months, just stay away!

missyhull (726.7 days ago)
I agree with all you ladies! I wouldn`t take the risk of drinking while pregnant.

I personally wouldn`t drink during pregnancy. I don`t even think just having one glass is okay.

I hope your not eating trans fatty french fries and potato chips or driking soda and latte`s..that stuff doesnt go in bottles either.. lol......I had some wine spritzers on a couple occasions while prego with my 2nd, I treated myself on thanksgiving and christmas by having one with everyone.....I checked with my Dr first, and was pretty informed on the subject, not just off reading whats on the internet...While indeed it has effects on the baby, most cases of fetal alcohol syndrom and other bad complications come with habitual drinking, or drinking more than a glass, or more than a glass several times while pregnant, and I would never say have one to try and get a buzz or become tipsy, thats not okay, I had a couple because of my love for wine...Its a sticky debate and some Drs are okay with it...some not...ive chose not to have any with this one... so far, but I do not regret or feel bad by having a couple with my 2nd...hes great, healthy and perfect to me...having one drink is not going to stop development or impair him...on that note, No I do not think its okay to be an avid drinker while pregnant..your baby needs to be well taken care of...he/she has no choice on what is given to them and we need to make sure we do the best and are able to make appropriate decisions...

I personally think a person should stop drinking after they find out they are pregnant. The way I look at it is, if you wouldn`t put it in a bottle or feed it to your baby, then you shouldn`t drink or eat it while your pregnant.

I absolutly cannot believe that there are actually 20% that even think one drink is okay.....NEVER would I drink while prego.

I agree, heck no.

That`s not even something I would want to take a risk with! Babies are too precious and in such a development-critical stage!

  2. How old was your child when you stopped using the changing table (if you used one!)?
  3. Which boys name do you prefer?
  4. I need some help. I know I`m not pregnant(no BD in 3 months) but my lower stomach has been having that pulling streching feeling like when I was pregnant the last few days. Especially when I am moving around and walking. I swear it feels just like it did when I was very pregnant. Any idea what else could be causeing this? Should I make a dr appointment?
  5. Hunter is 5, in Kindergarten and has Asperger Syndrome and Social/Emotional disorder due to this he also has a full-day aide with him. Thursday when I went to pick him up from school I was handed a letter stating that was being suspended for one day for pushing his aide because `she was too close to him in line` Apparently she didn`t fall but `almost` fell. We have a meeting set up on the 12th to talk this issue over, but I don`t think suspending was a grand idea. I mean he`s 5 and autistic! What do you think?
  6. My 16 month old is 21 pounds. Is this terribly small? He is a great eater, sleeper and is very happy, it just seems he is a bit smaller than other children his age.
  7. Need game ideas for a baseball theme (indoor) birthday party - So far I have Musical Bases (played like musical chairs), a Baseball Pinata, Hot Baseball (played like hot potato) & either catch the peanuts in a ball cap or toss the peanuts in a tin can. (mostly 7-11 yr olds, but can be for any age really) Thanks! (:
  8. For those who have multiple children, what do you do present wise for Christmas?
  9. My baby is a thumbsucker, usually only sucks her thumb when going to sleep. Her bottom teeth are coming in and its making thumb red. Has anyones had it actually break their child`s skin and make it raw? Not sure what I should do about it if it gets worse.
  10. *Question not a poll* What did you do for your LO`s 1st birthday party? We live about an hour & half from our friends & most of our family. We are looking to rent somewhere closer to everyone else for our dd`s 1st birthday but could really use some ideas :)
