My doctor told me that if u get a cold when you are pregnant most likely it will benefit the baby in the long run because if the baby ever comes back in contact with that particular germ he/she will be able to fight it off better because the mother was exposed while pregnant. Interesting I thought. He also said that the only time it may hurt the baby when you are sick is when your temperature reads above 100 degrees with a fever then you should call your doctor right away just in case.

actually it doesnt hurt baby, but its not a dumb question. My doc said that someone with a chronic cough or someone that sneezes a lot from being sick might irritate the cervix and can cause light bleeding (from popped blood vessels). so it can affect you but not in a harmful way.

sorry for the dum question. i jus developed this nasty cough and it hurts my throat like hell! and i know baby is probably tired of it already and i just wanted to know if it was hurting thebaby cause it hurts me!
