with my first i never noticed losing my plug, but my water broke at 2am, contractions started an hour later, and then he was born 11 hours after that. with my second i lost my plug a week before i was induced and was dilated to 3 by the time i was induced and i had him 6 hours later.

at 39 wks i lost my plug in the middle of the night my water broke the next morning and had her the next afternoon. i wouldn`t dialate though. i was given meds. thats why it took so long to have her after my water broke

with my 1st my waters didnt break till i was ready to push... with my 2nd my water broke and about 20minutes after the contractions started, mild at first then came on harder and quicker, it took me 3 and a half hours with my 2nd, my 1st was 23hrs..

I was induced and had my water broken with my 1st. My 2nd my water broke in the afternoon but I had no show and no contractions until early the next morning.

never had a `bloody` show. lost my plug at 36 weeks, started contractions n delivered at 39w 6d!

i had my show 6 days before i started contracting with my 1st baby!!

For me, my contractions started about five hours before the bloody show and the dr. had to break my water.
