try not to strain your get piles!! sure enough i did after having my second and any straining now brings it back and it hurts!! but no it wont bring on labour or hurt the baby! but dont strain!!!

I have started stirring a huge heaping tablespoon of benefiber into my drink each night. It completely disolves and is tasteless. It has helped immensely.

i have had constipation with nearly every pregnancy and subsequently gotten hemmoroids if only it did induce labor though!!
