cyb3r0ptik (1534.3 days ago) the biggest problem with hot showers is that it dries your skin out more and makes you more prone to stretch marks. Other than that, you`re fine.
cklamour (1539.6 days ago) I`m the same way but the baby didn`t like it much...lol As soon as I would hop into the shower it would disappear to my back and not surface till about 30 mins later. So would I do now is not make it as hot as usually would. But I did get very dizzy because it got so hot in the bathroom so be careful with that part.
Mommy-2-B (1540.6 days ago) I love hot showers...but for several weeks I would get overheated and it made me throw up...almost as bad as brushing my teeth did!
ArmyWifeyCO (1541.3 days ago) The doctor told me just not to risk it.. me and my hubby joke around and say `Well we dont want a scrambled egg!!` lol
monica9 (1541.8 days ago) i can only take hot showers this time of year, and i mean hot! but if your skin can handle it, im sure the baby can. Just dont let the water hit your stimach or back too much!

magnolia76 (1542.4 days ago) Try to stick to warm or only slightly hot baths and showers. As relaxing as a long steamy showers be when your body is feeling the aches and pains of pregnancy, it`s best to avoid becoming overheated. Raising your body temperature above 102° Fahrenheit (38.9° Celsius) increases the risk for neural tube defects in the first trimester and dehydration later in the pregnancy.
~So try to limit activities that could raise your core temperature too much, including:
* using saunas or hot tubs
* taking very hot, long baths and showers
* becoming overheated when outside in hot weather or when exercising
