When you know if its a girl or boy.

I started buying at 13 weeks - as soon as I was past that `critical` stage! I made myself stop buying stuff about 4 weeks ago though (I`m 26/27 weeks now)...mind you the only thing we need now is diapers!

We bought the crib, bedding, and car seat/stroller after our 20 week appt. when we found out we were having a boy. At 26 weeks I registered for my shower. My shower is going to be when I am around 32 weeks and whatever I don`t get from that, I am going to go out and buy myself. It is nice to have the big items out of the way though.

I would say around 20 weeks

im 15 weeks and cant wait to buy baby stuff, but im going to wait until i find out what we are having at 20 weeks. I`ll probably be driving straight to babies r us from the docs office!!! I think it should be after 12 weeks, but whenever you have the time to.

Im carrying twins so I started buying things around 18 weeks. Im getting big quick and didnt want to be shopping and trying to put together a room while I was big as a house. It seems more affordable to spread it out and buy bits here and there, its not nearly as exhausting, and for me it keeps things fun. I also had to order furniture and have it shipped as I live in Alaska and everything takes a while to get here -- just some things to think about. I`d say if your wondering when you should buy, your probably ready to start :)

When you feel ready to... but i would definatly say wait untill your second trimester... i started buying things from weeks 24 +
