I think Moni is cute. It means `Solitary, Consecrated; Advisor.` I wouldn`t switch it to Monique. I like Moni. I like that Davida means Blessed -- even though I don`t really like the name Davida. These names seem relevant to your story.

Moni on its own makes me think `money`. I like littlerascalskout`s suggestion of Monique.

What about Monique and you could call her Moni for a nick name... I know a woman named Dava...I think its kind of pretty. Monique Dava or Imoni Davida would be nice too.
