jeanette`s poll Show results | Hide results

Pregnancy-poll poll In Cozymom`s poll she asked if some of us are `leaning toward` c-section as a birthing option. Have any of your doctors sugested that this is not just a last resort, but an actual CHOICE that you can make?
(Pregnancy poll by jeanette, 306 days ago)
It's not a choice, it's just the safest way for some mothers/babies.
Yes, it is a choice. My doctor has allowed me to have a c-section even though there are other options available.

Gosh, there is a lot of judging going on with these comments. `Too scared to have a baby vaginally` `If its a choice, it totally should not be.` If one wants to have a c-section, then I say go for it. Just educate yourself on the risks and benefits. Its proven that a c-section is less stress on the baby per what I`ve read lately, and there could be a million reasons why someone might want one rather than a vaginal birth. Its a personal choice, what might not be right for you may be right for someone else.

Why would anyone want a c section for no reason? Too scared to have a baby vaginally?

jeanette (305.4 days ago)
I just read in a baby magazine that docs are doing pre-term elective c-sections to prevent stretch marks and pelvic relaxation. It`s obviously extreme, and I agree whith the magazine when they say it`s bad news.

where I live you can freely ask for an elective C-section. Never thought of `pelvic relaxation` After 3 kids and to many mental pictures later, thats got me down....good way to put it..lol..

I don`t know any dr`s in my area that allow elective c/sect. I always assumed it was for little starlets, but apparently alot of dr`s are allowing them.

My doctor told me that I can demand a C-section for any reason. Says some folks do it to avoid pelvic relaxation later in life...or simply to avoid the stresses of labor.

  5. i found a lump on Grace`s thigh a couple days ago, and it didnt bother her then for me to feel around for it but today when i felt for it she didn`t like me to touch it. i know that sometimes with shots a baby can get a lump where the shot was done but she hasn`t had shots since she was six months. i know that it wasn`t there before because i rub her down with lotion almost everyday. i am going to the ergent care clinic tomorrow because i am concerned but i am scared that i am thinking all this horrible stuff for no reason. should i be worried or could it just be from the shots???
