I`m scared to death to give birth. but I have been through a lot, and I know I will be fine. I dont care how much it hurts, as long as I have a healthy little baby as a result. :)

my mom had all 4 of us kids w/ no meds and said that you forget any and all pain as soon as you see your baby!!! so i dont really think about being scared!

It was my first...and I wasn`t really that nervous. I guess I knew it would hurt..and I knew I`d get epidural..and I was hoping she`d coming out without a csection...and all that happened. It was a great labor/delivery...and while,sure, it hurt...wow...but gosh, when she came out...nothing like it! it was amazing! I`d do again!

I started to let myself get nervous, and when I told my mom she said, `I can`t believe your affraid of pain.` This was comming from a woman who`s vaginal delivery turned into major surgery requioring a three week hospital stay. I wasn`t affraid after that. Even if it is the worst pain ever in my life, it`s just pain. I can do it.

Its my second, with my first i started to freak out a 9 months but not before that, i just didnt think about that. The L/D were great, so i dont stress at all, and hope things go smoothly as last time.

You know it didnt bother me until I hit the half way point! Now it is on my mind.. finding out about the whole process.... interesting.. I guess the one thing that is making it so I am not scared crap less is .. LOTS OF WOMAN DO IT EVERYDAY!!! There isnt anything special about me.. and I hope it stays that way!!!

Im 19, and this is my first and iv been asking people around me what it is like but i know there really is no point as mine will be totally different! so for that reason i am very scared but also excited to see my little girl, and i know for sure whatever happens it will all be worth it

Recent polls- OMG, I posted on FB (in reponse to a suggestion made to me on From Our House To Yours) that I didn`t like a business because the items were very expensive and my friend got a bad deal there and the owner is threatening to sue me! Have you ever heard of such a thing? I actually paid a consultation fee and my lawyer told me that she was `absurd with possible mental health problems.` I am protected by the fisrt ammendment to express my honest opinions freely where I choose, but he said she can take it to court(because people can TRY to sue over anything) anyway and that it might cost me legal bills. We will both be out a lot of money because she couldn`t possibly win. Can you believe that? FML! First my records and now this! I hope my baby isn`t a bad luck baby. I see people not recommending or recommending businesses all the time on FB!

- ANGRY!!!! My jenakers account is missing my ENTIRE journal from my high risk pregnancy and my letthisonestick account for my 7 month old is completely gone along with my journal. I AM SICK OVER IT!
- I`ve re-thought the moderating of the member-postings. How does this sound? Let`s change it to usage, rather than length of time as a member. Say your first 10 or 20 polls, questions and pictures need to be approved by a Mod or something like that. Someone posting the racist polls and adding the kiddie porn is unlikely to participate as a normal member. Once you are verified as a regular member you`re no longer monitored.
- How long did it take you to get pregnant after you got your IUD (Mirena) out?
- Twilight valentines for 7 year olds... appropriate or not? DD received a valentine with a very... sultry smoldery Edward on the front and I was just kind of surprised that anyone would buy those for 7 year olds? I know I`m on the conservative side in general on those kinds of things, but this really surprised me!
- My daughter is almost 5 months and 3 weeks ago my hair started falling out. I know it`s normal but how long did it last for you?
- With all the issues going on with the site maybe we need an updated list on Mods. Obviously Laura is the one to go to but if there is a concern and it needs immediate attention and a Mod is online it may be good to know who is who so you can reach out to them. Mods, can you please post here so we know who you are. (Esp since some profiles names had to be changed because of recent log on issues)

- I think with all the posting issues IAP needs to appoint someone to verify all pictures, polls, questions, etc that are posted by new members. Sure, it`ll probably make things slower, but something needs to be done! Many websites have this installed and IAP needs it as well. Members that have been on the site for a certain time can be exempt, but if you are a new member, posts should be monitored. I`m going to copy this suggestoin to Laura and if you agree you should too!! :)
