JessH`s poll Show results | Hide results

Pregnancy-poll poll Im 30wks, since coming home from the hospital due to preterm labor my dogs insist on laying on my stomach or putting their head/ear on my stomach. Anyone think this is weird?

Not at all weird, With my first pregnancy my dog (male) always would lay with his head on my stomach, He loved the baby when we brought her home.(I lived with my parents for my first but moved before my 2nd pregnancy) But with my 2nd pregnancy when ever we would visit my parents he would try to get on my lap and when he was able he would put his head on my tummy he loved it when we brought the baby over to visit after she was born. Now I don`t have inside dogs but I do have cats and the male cat likes to lay on my tummy an purrrr.. I think when animals are attached to you they can just sense that you are pregnant and they are enjoying it with you.

Dogs are weird. I wonder if they smell something different about you. My dog tried to bite a growth of of my husband`s leg recently. Maybe he should get it checked out.

NO.. they sense something! Are you dogs girls or boys?? I have two females and 1 male.. the male is a lot more protective of me.. but the females.. try to lay on my stomach and always have their heads on my stomach... I think it is their mother thing.. but I think they are trying to keep the baby warm and watching the baby! I think it is cute! Now if you are worried about it.. I talked with my vet and he advised me that before the baby comes to get one of those dolls that cry.. and start taking care of it.. showing them my attention needs to be else where..also leave the doll no the floor with like the blanket the baby might use.. to start to set boundaries.. and also have them like smell their blankets everyday to get used to their smell when they come! Hope this helps.. Good luck!

  5. i found a lump on Grace`s thigh a couple days ago, and it didnt bother her then for me to feel around for it but today when i felt for it she didn`t like me to touch it. i know that sometimes with shots a baby can get a lump where the shot was done but she hasn`t had shots since she was six months. i know that it wasn`t there before because i rub her down with lotion almost everyday. i am going to the ergent care clinic tomorrow because i am concerned but i am scared that i am thinking all this horrible stuff for no reason. should i be worried or could it just be from the shots???

  6. *Strech Marks* - Today i posted this photo, and struggled doing it. I have been crying all day about my tummy, and it could be hormones but i dont feel attractive anymore. Im 29 weeks with baby number two (this is my third pregnancy) If you have any belly photos that are similar showing mommy scars i would love to see them so i dont feel so alone. Thanks
