Okay ill try to say this as quick as i can sorry for the long story. Im pregnant with my 3rd and when i stoped breastfeeding at 12mths my periods were coming around every 6 weeks. When i found out i was pregnant at 8 weeks i went for a early dating scan which told me my due date was the 12th may.Then at my 16 week check up my doctor said my uterus was mearsuring at 18 weeks. She told me it could be because with subsequent pregnancys sometimes the uterus is bigger and slows down after the 20th week.So i thought that must be it. Then at 18 weeks i had my booking in appoinment at the hospital and when i told the midwife im not sure of my period as it was coming around every 6 weeks she wasent going to put a EDD but i told her i had a dating scan at 8 weeks and they said my due date was the 12th May. So she said she`ll put it down but the early dating scan is more accurate around 12 weeks. So now i dont know if its in my head but im thinking i could be futher along than they think.Do u think im crazy or could i maybe come a week or two early? Im 22 weeks now and i do have a feeling im abit futher along. Has anyone had an instinct they`d come early and they did?Or got told a due date and was way out(not because of medical reasons)? I know every mum hopes their baby will come early but with my uterus bigger and my period was coming every 6 weeks i cant help but think they could be wrong.They told my 2nd would be 8lb and she was 9lb so i know they can be wrong. COMMENTS WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL TO EASE MY OVERACTIVE MIND :-)

I know we aren't doctors but with all the info it sounds like maybe it might come early
In my experience Yes the doctors can be wrong,they were wrong with me but it dosent mean the baby will come early

I`m going thru the same thing. I had an fall and went to the ER in early pregnancy and they said due date was March 27 The next week go to my ob and he gives me date of april 9. My worry is that my placenta may start to break down before april 9 and they don`t induce until week after due date.

just make sure you get stress tested when you are around the earlier time you think might be the actual due date.

im not convinced by the total accuracy of scans. with my 2nd baby at 20 weeks they put her due date forward by 3 weeks even though dating scan said different. tried to explain if the date they where giving me was correct then i wasnt even bloody pregnant when i got my positive test!!! anyway when she was born(induction) the midwife said she looked about 3 weeks early! also was told one of my babies was a huge one so they induced 3 weeks early... she was 7lb 1oz!!!

OMG i just posted a poll about the same thing and when i scrolled down i seen your comment. That`s funny. Anyways i am 27 weeks and was measuring right on until my appointment today and now my doc is saying 31 weeks. I asked if ultrasound date could be wrong and she said no they are accurate. There was also a discrepancy with my period. However it was always every weeks and then they told me i did not ovualte in the middle but near the end. So my due according to last period was March 16th and ultrasound said April 2nd. Doc said to get my butt in for the glucose test cause i could be having a big baby due to diabetes, but she really couldn`t give me any info on this. Anyways let me know if you find out anything.

I have no idea with the scans and everything- but I wonder if you can tell from when you felt your baby start moving consistent and strong taps. I didn`t feel that with my first until wk 21- 22, and I know it is earlier for number 2, but I doubt it would be 4 wks earlie- and I mean real kicks, not butterflies. So, that`s my only thought.
