i am planning on taking half a year off (that is all i can have on paid leave, i can get 1 year but half would be unpaid) i would take as much as you can to make sure that you are with your little one and you dont miss too much of his/her growing up.

I`m taking my whole year of paid Mat leave! I love Canada for that ;)

Anything less than 12 isn`t long enough! I went back at 12-weeks with my first pregnancy and it sucked! My daughter was just starting to laugh and smile and get a personality.

i hope to have as much time as humanly possible at home before returning to work

  1. Ok - why are women so terrified of forceps? I thought it was something fast and simple to get the baby out and didnt cause any excess pain. But the more Im reading up on a lot of these blogs on here I am seeing that a lot of you women had a really bad experience with forceps and refuse to use them again. Can someone explain the process of using forceps and your experience if you have one? Also what about the suctioning? Thank you!
