i heard that the contractions come faster when your induced so i guess n a way it hurts worse

im pg with baby number 6, i had 2 natural labours and 3 inductions....give me natural any day!!! the contractions are SO much more painful as your body is being forced to have them, i vaguely remember telling my hubby i was going to die as the pain was so bad! sorry!

Well with my son I was dilated 2 cm for a week at 34 weeks, was put on bed rest and I went into labour my self a week later...I only dialated to 3 cm so the broke my water with a thing that looks like a long crochet needle...no fun but it worked:) My daughter was full term and brought on the same way..I dialated to 3 cm and they broke my water...3 hours later she was born:) Both were natural births:)

with my first i was 35 weeks n my baby was IGR (inutero growth retardation) she wasnt growing anymore so they induced me. gave me pitocine, i wasnt dilated at all to start with. about 1 hour later i was screaming and swearing at the nurses for an epidural. the doc checked me n said i was only 1 cm n she can give it to me. i kept yelling n finally got it. it was hell, they came super strong right away, no easing into it. mind u with my second i was chilling at home for 10 hours until i was 5 cm not even knowing i was in labour.

I had the EXACT same experience as Samantha. NO FUN!!!!

I went into labor on my own but was not progressing as fst as my dr wanted so i was given pitocin...so basically induced. they put it in my IV, it stung a little going in. Then it kicked in, and OMG it was the worst pain ever. My contractions were right on top of one another and so much more intense than before the pitocin. You see people on birthing shows take breaks in btwn the pushing...no no, none of that for me. just as soon as i was done pushing, i`d get another contraction and have to push again. so it was nonstop. it didnt help that my epidural was no longer working either. i`ve heard people with better stories on the pitocin, but for me, it was horrid and i will never get it again. But it is different for everyone so i am not going to tell you that if you get the pitocin this will happen to you...maybe you`ll be one of the lucky woman i hate :) good luck!
