My family likes to have Baby Showers AFTER the baby is born. That way everyone gets a chance to meet the baby when he/she is still a newborn. There are alot of big things that people can still get you that you dont need until after birth anyways.

I actually had our baby shower quite early, or so I was told. I had it when I was about 6 months along. I`m having another one this Saturday (1 day b-4 my due date) so I think it`s really up to you and what works best for you and your schedule. Have fun, they`re a blast!

The recommended time by some shower sites is 5-6 weeks prior to your due date.

I dont think there is a `right` time. whenver someone wants to give you one. generally people wait till closer to your due date, but if you have circumstances like your carrying twins you know you`ll deliver early, or be on best rest, or be moving etc do it earlier rather than later.
