Personally I wouldnt have one at all I think it pretty checky to ask people to buy you stuff. Ive loved every minute of buying my own things for my baby.

Yeah, I have to agree that it is weird to throw yourself a baby shower. I bet someone in your life will begin planning one, but you`re still early at 28 weeks. Due to people`s schedules, they aren`t throwing mine until I`m 36 weeks.

you should talk about a shower with a friend or family member. Hopefully someone is already planning one for you & if not ask them if they would have one for you. I think it looks bad to plan your own but it shouldn`t be a problem to ask a close friend or relative to do it for you. You can offer to help but they should do it all for you.

Like the other ladies said, it`s a big no-no to throw this type of party for yourself. Certainly you have a friend or family member that is gracious enough to host a shower for you.

you shouldn`t plan your own shower. it doesn`t look very good. I also wouldn`t ask someone to put one on for me. My friend offered and i accepted. otherwise i would not have one.

Yea you should have one.. thrown for you or given by you!!! they recommend you have one at least 6 weeks out that way anything you dont get.. you have time to get before the little one gets here!

I agree. It would be nice if someone threw if for you (make sure there are no surprise ones already being planned for you). If no one else is doing it, then go right ahead and do it yourself. It doesn`t have to be fancy. THe best ones I`ve gone to are just a bunch of women sitting in a circle chatting. If it`s your first baby, you should totally be showered with presents!

see if someone else can plan it for you. its not a big deal to plan it yourself though. have it at your house or someone elses house and get some cheap decorations, a cake, and make some food. you can ask people around you to make a food each. for a cheap shower gift you can get pastel m&m`s, wrap a handful in nice toule or plastic wrap and wrap a ribbon around them. babycenter has shower ideas or you can google shower ideas. if you have any questions, you can find me on my web page. good luck!

Do you have someone who can throw it for you? You shouldn`t have to plan your own shower.
