i think its a mothers and fathers choice. i dont believe in it for my sons. Both were not circumsized. Mainly because i think god put it there for a reason. I dont believe all the hype about its better when they are babies as well cause they dont remember. adult men can take stronger pain killers and be at least numbed up b4 having it done. I think it still effects the child no matter what age they are.I also read that they did a study on babies that have had it done. in that study it proved that babies that didnt have pain killers had a lower tolerance to pain when they were older. there are pro`s and cons to each side of the story. do your own reseach and decide whats feels right for you Just remember no matter what a doctor says newborns feel pain so please get some type of numbing medication. Which i think most doctors do these days. At least i hope so.

This is not a mother or fathers choice. The baby is not old enough to say yes or no to what will be happening to its body. Unless it is for a health reason the choice shouldnt be yours. Its their choice when they are older.

i would suggest searching polls from other women posted on this topic. Everyone has different opinons but I have 2 soon to be 3 boys and they are/will be circumsized. just go to the search tab, type in circumsized and click show all polls.

i hear they can do it now where they tie a little string around the foreskin and it falls off which doesn`t hurt like chopping it off. Circumcised males are also at lower risk for contracting certain types of STDs including HIV if exposed.. its a ways down the road, but still! I`m having a girl but if it were a boy I would probably have him circumcised.

Why would anyone do that?!?!? Ugh! Unless he had something wrong with him that he needed it done, there is no way I would ever inflict that on a male!
